Call of duty 4 for example i can play it on 1024 x 768 with medium details and even then its not that good... low fps... the same to modern warfare 2 and even with lowest details.. i have installed the latest drivers i'm not sure for the directx.. i'll try it. my GPU's tmperatures while playing is about 42 .. 43..

both are ddr3, but you have to see if there's a difference in the memory clock speed (cuz ddr3 comes in different speeds). sometimes the cards with extended memory (like this 1gb version) have a slower memory speed which sucks. if the speed is the same on both cards, then go for the 1gb version, it'll give you better performance on higher resolutions and on high anti-aliasing settings.

everything is of importance, especially the amount of "processor cores" (also known as "pixel pipes"). also make sure that the card has at least 512mb of memory for being able to play the latest games without compromising the resolution or the textures. tell me your budget and i'll tell you the best possibilities.

"processor clock" is the same as "shader clock", and "graphics clock" same as "core clock". You can distinguish these two: the processor/shader clock is often around 1500MHz and graphics/core clock is ofter around 500-900MHz. Memory clock/speed has no synonyms i think.

you should be looking for a nVidia GTX260 card. it's around your budget (and even a little below). it has some insane performance especially for the price. better cards are far more expensive. the cheaper option is GTX250 ($150)

Sure it`s ok but I can`t tell you if it`s good for the future because there are with the time more games where it`s recommended to have a 3-4 core cpu :(

But for now this system is good enough for everything ;) you should overclock the cpu a bit with this motherboard :)

In this game not really. But in games like GTA4 or ARMA2 you can see that the cpu should be better but if you can overclock the cpu it is very powerful.

And Crysis runs on my system all high 1280 res and 2x AA. Once I upgrade I plan to play at 1050p like I said earlier. So you should run it good. I don't know about GTA but you should run it pretty good too.

No FULL graphics no, because the physx will need a lot of power. and I don`t think there is really a big difference between 9800GT 512 MB and 1 GB, the price is a bit higher but at the moment you don`t need 1 GB but it`s maybe just my opinion.

Are you even sure of what you are saying? Professional versions of ATi cards the firepro are for photoshop and cad. Same deal with Nvidia with their quadro line. Photoshop CS4 is even more optimized for Nvidia because it uses CUDA for acceleration. Radeons are for gaming the same as Geforce.

but this e5200 is very cheap now and it's very powerful, its named pentium dual core, but REALLY it pwns a 3.8ghz pentium D which IS dual pentiums.. the pentium dual core is based on the core 2 duo e4000 series but remade to 45nm for faster clock-per-clock speed and is cooler and overklocks like crazy, my friend got it to 3.4ghz on stock cooler stable, so its beating some core 2 duo's and overclocks good, AND is cheap, its a great deal and upgrade!
