I think the restrictions had more to do with the desire of the socialist FDR administration and congress at time to restrict the rights of the individual. NFA items, like suppressors, were uncommon at the time so they were a good place to start in the gradual chipping away of American gun rights

Don't be too disappointed,I'm sure it will still be entertaining watching the cat and mouse game play out between these two.They both have a knack for commanding the screen,and hopefully,it will be more like "The Prestige".
