  • one of the best songs I've ever heard both lyrically and musically.

  • Comment removed

  • HIPSTER BEACH PARTY

  • I like the name of the band, its so easy that i can remember it =D

  • I actually think this album is one of their best. It's a lot darker than their usual stuff, but I think that makes it better and more mature.

  • this almost made me cry in the middle of my media class today, it's so beautifully done, it makes you feel everything that's being sung.

  • Is Los Camp not on Arts and Crafts anymore?

  • @deathacus made their own channel

  • @NerdRiots Oh okay awesome.

  • FUCK YOU MOBERT

  • @Rmott963 hey why dont you and your pussy friends here stop purposely disliking this music which is OBVIOUSLY good. Go listen to kesha or whatever that shit is that you listen to. k thanx.

  • i hate the sea

  • I just can't stop listening

  • RIP Manolo :( <3

  • god this song is so much more powerful since MANOLO has passed... :(

  • The Sea Is A Good Place...to dump the body.

  • <3

  • V The fuck you saying? V

  • fell in love with it *.*

  • Its so powerful I love it :D great acoustic too

  • Its so powerful I love it :D

  • i love this

  • I think it's about a "band" telling there friends that they're going to play a little down at the beach One half is like hell free show and the other half the of people scared like "wtf is this guy filming me for?" Then the band say its for a music video and its all good.. and they all get drunk and play around the bonfire.

  • Reminds me abit of Bloc Party when they first started out. Ah to be in college again...

  • @Hybridfuture1

Does Plans/Compliments spring to mind? :)

  • cant not love

  • 9 people are Tory boys

  • I think coke a cola sponsered this video.

  • Ouch, my heart hurts....

  • @nnanook

    that's a little bit ironic.

  • wow, thats all I have to say.

  • No joke, I listened to this song a lot when I got it and ended up crying myself to sleep...

  • Comment removed

  • this is my favourite song on earth.

  • It's weird hearing this marvellous amazing song and knwoing it is bya band I otherwise find pretty dull.

  • when it started I started to cry

  • 1:28 ? mmh great song my favorite is you! me! dancing! but that song is great too!

  • The first time I really listened to the song and its lyrics, my eyes began to water.

  • Sempre Bravi!

  • Clearly what makes this song so special and good, are the lyrics which combined with the melancholy rhythm, hits you in the chest, you feel the song in your running trough your veins, feel the pain in the lyrics, but still, you love it, something that a few songs have the power to do.

  • @ssrocksss you should get yourself checked out. i just think it's a damn good song that i can connect with

  • @giveobamaquarters Im fine. I just live music.

  • 7 people don't like good music at the time I have watched this video.

  • Holy shit that's Barry Island :L I live in Barry :L

  • What a song. Heard this at reading fest 2010 and the lead singers voice conveyed such passion and bitterness that I've been listening to this almost non stop. And that violen! Subtlety haunting. its just so so good.

  • What the hell i just shed a tear at this for no reason. I haven't cried in like two years.

  • Things change I know, but right now to me this song is perfection.

  • damn, just found out about this band, they're amazing.

  • Does anyone have seen a documentary film called "The Future is Unwritten" about Joe Strummer (the clash)? the end of this video is remembering me because of the people together around the fire...

  • @JonasMigas haha ive seen that, i know the scene you mean.

  • this really is my favourite song ever in the world ever and i'm going to see them tomorrow :')

  • @gemzee82 lucky ducky! :O

  • BARRY ISLAND xd

  • wow there really are amazing.....

  • I actually don't know how to say how much I love this song. And by saying this, I really mean it - it's so adorable, that special combination of the stunning lyrics and the melancholy (I don't know if you can say that in English) instruments.

Since I discovered this song at two o'clock or something, I think, I can't stop listening to it over and over again. It really is perfect without being perfect, if someone knows what I mean.

  • I think people need to see this from a deeper viewpoint. There are some (and some not-so) subtle undertones of anxiety throughout the whole video. The constant use of silhouettes in movement and weak illumination creates a parallel image to that of what would be a normal pop fashion party. Maybe we're just applying the logic of Scrotie McBoogerballs though; if there's any South Park fans who'll get it.

  • As much as I love LC! I can't agree with xXWeezerXx. Seems like they've pretty much had a day at the beach with someone filming it, and then put all the shots together to make it more fitting to the song. There are not specific lovers or anything, just them and some friends. You can tell because not any one of the band members are being mainly focused throughout the entire video.

  • First song I ever heard from Los Campesinos! back in November of last year. Now they are one of my favorite bands and have seen them live.

    Such an emotional, powerful song.

  • I don't know why but this song makes me want to cry. There's this desperate and anxious feel to it I can relate to.

  • Nice analytical comment :P

  • the first time i heard this song, I didn't get it. Now, I think it is superbly beautiful.

  • the intro sounds heavenly, i love it.

  • in a futile attempt to know more than the duck does

  • BARRY ISLAND.

  • video is not at all related to the lyrics

    also.. this VIDEO is shit

  • @hendrix142536 would you please look deeper, before you go and diss something much above your head? look at xXWeezerXx's response, would you?

  • @hendrix142536 aannnd also you basically don't understand it. maybe if you looked at xXWeezerXx's comment, you'd appreciate it more.

  • the best way to download this mp3 from youtube is to google mp3iiiiify.

  • i have discovered this band today and i love this song..truly amazing!!

  • i like how all the people seem to be the focus of the songs lyrics.

  • I am so excited for Los Campesinos to play at Whitman!

  • these ain't fly-by-nights

  • I am slowly falling in love with this band.

  • Saw them yesterday in Amsterdam and I loved it!

  • Yes its barry beach where they film gavin and stacey!

  • I love this band!!! the best band iv EVER seen live! brighton 2008! amazing!

Btw this is the beach where they film gavin and stacey isnt it haha

  • This song is just astonishingly beautiful.

  • once again, ty los campesinos for the great music <3

  • great song !!!!

  • 100

  • This is my favorite los camp song ever!

  • are they talking about drowning?

  • i love this video because its such a beautiful song and its so real <3

  • I love this song <3

  • I like this music video because when the song gets dark the music video gets darker

  • ((Y)) ♥

  • There's not always good music videos, even for good music, but this one is wonderful, I didn't like the vid for Death to Los Campesinos! but loved the song, but this one I loved them both. My favorite Los Campesinos song, and favorite music vid!

  • I wish they'd continued doin vids like you me dancing and we throw parties you throw knives. They were amazing.

Oh yeah and this song is to

  • they new album is so much better than their previous works.

their new album is seriously a master piece. it makes me feel happy and sad and angry and peaceful.

  • lies

  • "so the landscape before you looks just like the end of the world but to the left side or the right side, either way is a crazy golf course"

meh different people like different things.

  • holy shit. i like.

  • Just found out about this band two days ago and now I'm listing to their music nonstop..

  • This is my favorite video not only of campesinos but possibly of all. To me, the contrasts of this song / video perfectly portray the human condition.

There's the contrast between the pop music and brutally honest lyrics; then the contrast between the cheery party and the few shots of the people who seem disillusioned with the whole thing. Yet it all culminates in an overall hopeful feeling with the massive fire representing some basic, simple human fascination.

  • Comment removed

  • I like the seagull at the start. He's epic.

  • "contrast between the pop music and brutally honest lyrics" what does that even mean?

Like, I hear lyrics dealing with the death of a parent, eating disorders.. and I just see some generic teen beach party. I can understand some underlying issues with some individual(s). I really don't see the connection, I love this band I really do but this video just does not match the lyrics.

Let's be honest, low budget videos don't reflect the song content

  • @xXWeezerXx Wtf? "To me, the contrasts of this song / video perfectly portray the human condition." and "...simple human fascination."

You're overthinking it babe... it's a bunch of people at the beach. If anything it just "means" someone can look one way and on the inside feel and be different, but portraying "the human condition" What does that even mean? What condition? Life!? don't mean to sound attacking - but seriously? Reread your shit and think about if it makes sense.

  • @xXWeezerXx gay

  • @xXWeezerXx in what way could this be described as pop music? and there are hardly any "disillusioned" people. Perfectly portraying the human condition? pretentious silliness.

'mazing song though. not sure the video fits at all in my opinion but then, who cares. amazing songs are amazing songs.

  • @xXWeezerXx pretty sure you're just desperately trying to sound intelligent

  • @xXWeezerXx did you smoke weed to think of this?

  • @xXWeezerXx your talking about humans cuz surely you are not one of us... get out of here and try to look in smart in other planet...alien kid...¬¬ i mean... idiot.

  • @xXWeezerXx i'd thumb you up but its on a perfect 100 ;)

  • @xXWeezerXx I think your comment might be the most toolish thing that's ever happened on youtube.

  • @leddedzephed +1

There is no deep meaning to be found in this. Average song, horrifically unimaginative video.

I'm listing to their music nonstop!

  • @xXWeezerXx you worded that really badly

  • This is an amazing song, top notch.

  • Listen to the lyrics, this song is far from lovely.

  • lovelylovely.

  • Wow. Now THIS is real music.

    Totally besotted...officially.

  • I've never heard of this band - BUT THANK GOD I stumbed onto them! This song is mind blowing! Can you lot tell me other good songs by this band? Or are all their songs just as great as this one? x

  • @Duck1eRhys -

There Are Listed Buildings is great once it grows on you...I recommend checking that out.

  • Thanks Wolfgurl803 - The introduction of the song sound familiar and I like it. It's one of those marmite songs =/ I'll see how I feel about it in a couple of listens. x

  • You! Me! Dancing!

We are Beautiful We are Doomed

    Miserabilia

Those are my favorites, but basically anything from the 'We are Beautiful, We are Doomed' album is really good. But, of course, they're all pretty much awesome.

  • you can't forget 'you'll need those fingers for crossing'!!

  • Oh no, or "This is how You Spell HAHAHA, we destroyed the hopes and dreams of a generation of faux-romantics!"

  • I feel as if this song was written for Alecks's departure from the band... you will be dearly missed Alecks =[

    5/5 on the video/song

  • My mom has just recently been diagnosed with something in the brain, they arent sure if its cancer or what it is.. this song is too easy to relate to ..

  • pretty music indeed!

  • booked my KOKO ticket!!!!!!! yayayayay well exited will be my 3rd time seeing them.

first time i saw em there was about 30 of us in the audience second time about 10 of us lol and the Campesinos come and stood infront of me when another band was playing.....well wanted to jump on em!! :D

    (not in a gay way)

  • This is my favorite song by them!

  • I adore them and wish that they would stop playing in 18+ clubs when they come to New York. But...I'll get over being 17 soon enough!

  • Get a fake ID!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant. Los Campesinos never dissapoint....cant wait for the new album.

  • so powerful.

  • Hmm, I'm so far really loving this. I hope Romance Is Boring won't dissapoint, I will miss Aleks but I'm so excited.
