This game is ridiculous... what's the point of having bunch of stars mario with no ennemies at all? it's like the spin jump, making the game easy for noobs (and "gamers" that critizise the game for being easy while they can just NOT use that jump, and even like that, getting to the star is no difficult)

SMG 2 is to SMG what the Wii motion plus is to the Wiimote : something that should have existed since the beggining, the original su***** big time.

Thanks. There is another solution to get this star. You just have to do a Z+A jump between each rockbelts around the white planet and due to the gravity of this one it will function.

Wow! I never thought about staying as Bee Mario and flying straight to the moon! I guess the state of invincibility was too tempting! :P But man, running around invincible was so hard!

I guess it's harder getting through the first part as bee mario, but it makes the second part a lot easier.

@WhiteKhakis i didn't know that you could actually step on the glowing sphere. i thought it was a sun (i can't say star, because you collect objects called stars), and i thought that stepping on it would burn and kill me. i thought that i was supposed to destroy all of the meteors using rainbow mario, and the star would become available to me, somehow. i couldn't think of any other reason why the rainbow powerup would be there in the first place. wouldn't it make more sense to dodge the meteors?

It's an easy mission. But If you want the stage to be interesting and pose a decent challenge, take Bee. If you want it to be incredibly easy, take Boo. Not particularly fond of Boo Mario or as I like to call it, "Kirby for special kids." :p

If by sick you mean "sick with logic," then yes I am completely diseased. Sorry, Boo Mario may be funny to look at but it's a junk power up. The only time it requires any actual effort to use is in Boo's Boneyard and all you have to do in order win the race is hokd down on the joystick and keep spamming the invisibilty. Again, Boo Mario = Kirby with crappy, pointless powers.

Ah, OK. Yeah the "special kids" comment probably sounded a bit mean, sorry. :p Anyways, Boo Mario is comical but I still say it's a weak powerup. It'd be sweet if they'd include a few SMB 3 items in Mario Galaxy 2 like Racoon and Hammer suits, ect. Probably wishful thinking though. :(

Depends on how you go about it. Many argue that the Swift (Needle-Tailed) is fastest since it can fly at speeds over 105 mph. There's a falcon, though, that can dive bomb at over 200 mph - by that's pretty much falling, isn't it? ...and I'm sure you know the cheetah.

Aside from that, though, I usually choose Bee Mario. The first part is MUCH easier with Boo Mario. However, in the second part, you can use Bee Mario, fly to the brown part, and fly straight to the Star. So, I think Bee Mario is better in the long run.

there is a 121st star, when choosing a file, change to luigi, go to the trial galaxies (Rolling gizmo, Bubble blast, and loopde swoop) There should be a new luma, do that to get the final star

Yes, it's most similar to the Wing Cap powerup from SM64, which I think was the first time the sort of light and smooth tune was placed over the background standard invincibility tune that's been used since SMB.
