Problem I have with this is people are not supposed to handle newborn kittens unless it's absolutely necessary. Mother cats recognize their offspring by their particular scent. When kittens are that young, the only scents the mother will recognize are those of her kittens and that of herself. If you get a foreign scent on a kitten that young, there is a chance the mother will no longer recognize it as her own. Strange but true.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW I FUCKING CRYEDDD THIS IS SOOO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I held my cat's kittens almost as soon as they were born, I only did this because I knew she trusted me 100%. Anyone else that came near them she would hiss and growl like I've never heard before.
If a cat doesn't want you near her kittens she will soon let you know. The result of me holding them so early is that they (the two I kept) became so cuddly and friendly and love human contact, they are nearly 9 years old now and like nothing better than a warm lap and a cuddle and full snuggling
its the middle of the night and this is probably my 50th kitten video, and the CUTENESS WILL NEVER GET OLD OH MY GOSH I LOVE KITTENS. SO MUCH. JUST SO VERY MUCH. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3
i remember when my moms friend brought over newborn kittens.it was funny, they kept climing over eachother, then one fell down while walking.another was trying to feed, but the cat got up and it was hanging on.
Okay first i don't wan't to sound rude but I’m getting tired of all you guys(or girls)saying that she can't be touching them so i looked it up! IT'S FINE! In fact you SHOULD if you wait to long they can become too unsocialized! AND before ANY of you ask I read this info from a Vet Tech at a cat shelter! Whether you think I’m wrong or right is completely up to you! but whatever you say won't change my mind!
These kittens are older than two hours. For one, they are too big to be only two hours old. Also, kittens are born hairless and blind, and cannot walk nearly as well as these kittens do. Mommy would be lying down, nursing them, not walking around as she is.
@MikestheCat my cat just gave birth and her kittens look just like this(pattern also). their eyes are closed but they walk just like that and my cat nurses walks away to eat and comes back so sorry but your not correct on this one =(
@excalibur4california do your reseach before commenting. Kittens that are not handled untill 7-8weeks often get taken to shelters because they are to shy or hiss at people. You can and you should touch them briefly daily to help with socialization them. Hands should be clean and the kitten should not be taken out of mommys sight. If the mother trusts you it is no problem. you should be checking to make sure they feel healthy and not cold.
fuckin idiot for handling the kittens their mother might reject them if you handle them too much before shes completely weaned them which takes several weeks.
@jf1gd2 Have you ever cared for kittens? Has Your female cat ever had kittens? Are you a beader? dont be so rude they have done nothing wrong. domestic cats dont reject their babies when there owner touches them.
@MzJMB mine hasnt, but its well documented that mother cats and other mother animals have been known to reject their young if handled too frequently by humans. and what the fuck is a beader? do you mean breeder?
They are beautiful and precious. Their mother looks attentive, if not a bit nervous. The contact with humans at that point socializes them well and makes them good pets. Cats are some of the best mothers.
@MegaJeffdick that is actually not true. Mother cats normally only abandon kittens that are not healthy or deformed and in danger of dying. They do that instinctivly to give the strong ones the majority of food.
@StephSingerGirl23 I DID i called the humaine society and my mom doesnt drive (my dad is gone) and they said we have to go to the shelter but its faraway!!
@WebkinzForever269 :( Did you try telling him that your parents and you would take them to the humane society when he/she tried to take them to begin with?
i found my kitten like that in my garden one day randomly, crying and crying and i had to feed it with special milk and a bottle. He is now fine and very very egergetic lol
I think most of you confuse domestic cats with wild animals. I haven't heard of a house cat abandoning its baby just because it was handled by humans.

@silverspace79 i found a kitten with the mum outside in the rain. brought them in and the mum stopped caring for it because the kitten was touched by my little brother and sister so the kitten died!! so awful!
your supposed to leave them after you checked they are all ok. touching them like that can be bad too as there is a danger of the mother disowning them
ino probaly lots of people have left this comment but you shud never pick up a kitten this young supposbly the mother cat will eat it ive read on many internet pages
