UtD is probably Stephen's best book.

Remarkably well drawn characters.

A nearly perfect Antagonist Vs Protagonist tale with elements of horror but nothing unnecessary to the story or purely gratuitous....just some good terror when terror is appropriate.

The ending puts a little strain on the narrative but not much after you have bought the initial. premise.

Of all SK's books I enjoyed UtD the most.

The movie is sure to set box office records.

Speilberg has already signed on as Producer.

Stephen, I read that book and could not put it down. I found it disappointing in the end when the meth lab exploded and only a few survived. Although I do like the Army man, I think everybody should have been wiped out. Also surprised when Brenda was murdered. Junior obviously had some problems, but he got what he deserved. Nice book, long and suspenseful, in a way,

This book was terrible. Characters were all muddled together and the ending!!...oh dear....the ending made me rage....so not worth the wait or the process of reading.

I thought the ending was a little bit weak for a 1,000 page book, but I honestly can't see any other way that it could have ended even remotely happily.

I kind of wonder if Stephen King might have gotten a little overzealous on demonstrating how powerful the dome was, and written himself into a corner.
