@ImperialEarthEmpire actually Final Fantasy XI's carbuncle is the most helpful of them all. gives regen, boosts pro and shell, can increase random stats, can restore HP AND you can keep it next to you to fight monsters, not to mention that if you use its 2 hour ability it can kill almost everything around it depending on the level or at least do a lot of damage

Carbuncle changes depending on what you have equip:

Diamond casts Vanish

Emerald cast Haste

Moonstone casts Protect

Anything else casts Reflect
