Who ever you are.... thank you so much for posting this :o... this is indeed one off the best songs new order ever made and its sad that ill never have the chance to hear it live... but this is as close as it gets and for that i thank u :) so much :)
Performed almost one year to the date of Ian's suicide. "This is the reason that I came here/ to be so near to such a person." The arrangements are so simple, yet they are weaved together to make what I consider to be the darkest and most atmospheric song recorded by New Order or Joy Division. Perhaps the memories with which I associate The Him have biased me just a bit. New Order shows here that they can use their punk roots to make something very powerful.
@Procopius1980 la plus sombre de new order peu etre (quoiqu'il y ait aussi l'élégie à ian) mais pas de joy division:decades /the eternal/in a lonely place...
Pretty certain this photo is taken from one of New Order's legendary shambolic live Top of the pops performances (a guarantee the record would slide down next weeks chart!). Either Blue Monday or Thieves like us.
@zurbarab POP? Là,c'est encore de la new-wave! (on peut meme dire de la cold-wave...) ils ne sont devenu pop-minimalistes que plus tard. Avec un certain succès malgré tout.
ONE OF THE MOST MORBID BEAUTIFUL SONGS FROM NEW ORDER OF ALL TIME. SO UNDERRATED! TAHNKS FOR POSTING!
