  • Trent stay safe

  • yeah. thats what my neighborhood looks like now.. i live on staten island... the water got to my waste... and that was b4 the hurricane got to us.. it just started coming....and also, im not that short..lol

  • Hope you Will be ok in the hurricane , it looks real bad.

  • Take care

  • @KADORPI Thanks!

  • @absolon3 was this in new york?? be safe

  • my backyard is like 3 feet deep

  • why is "the saddest part" ? By the way, are there any boat taxis?

  • @stefanstroe91 Ah! I meant that it was sad for my dedicated digital camera to be passed up for a phone.

  • Nokia N8= Best Phone

  • @07liberian According to 0 tech reviewers...

  • @pyeclam That Because Anyone Is Either Fandroids Or Appleheads And Hate Everything Else.

  • @07liberian Or it's more likely because Symbian is extremely outdated and laggy. No professional tech reviewer would even rank it as one of the top phones due to its glitchy software. Hardware doesn't mean squat (not that the N8 has amazing hardware except for the design and camera) if there isn't good software to support it. There's a reason Nokia is adapting Windows 7 in and abandoning Symbian.

  • @pyeclam My N8 Isn't Outdated And Laggy, That's How It Was Several Months Ago. Just Because A Phone May Have Bad Software A One Point Doesn't Mean The Phone Will Have Bad Software Forever...IDK If You Know This Or Not But There Is A Such Thing As Software Updates.

Nokia Isn't Abandoning Symbian, If They Were They Wouldn't Be Announcing New Symbian Phones Every Other Week, Do You Ever Know What Abandoning Means ?! LOL

  • @07liberian Do I "ever" know what abandoning means? No clue, bro. "On February 11, 2011, Nokia announced that it would migrate away from Symbian to Windows Phone 7."

Symbian is inherently shitty. Software updates don't matter for shit if it's outdated with very few apps and a practically non-existent ecosystem. There's a reason there are no tech reviewers placing the N8 at the top of their smartphone list, and it isn't because they're all fanboys. In fact, the only fanboy here seems to be you.

  • @pyeclam Actually Most Credible Global Tech Reviewers Have The N8 In Their Top 10 Of 2010, Phonearena Gave It A 8.5/10 Before The Updates, And If The Phone Was Shitty I Doubt Trent Would Be Using It For The 2nd Time. In Fact Trent Gave It A High Rating In His 1st Review Of The N8.

'very few apps" Symbian Has More Apps Than WP7, But Quantity Is Never Important.

  • @07liberian Actually, for the record, this N8 is a loaner unit from WomWorld that was never used until this instance for its camera. While I do prefer Android as my main OS with the Samsung Galaxy S2, I can sometimes use Symbian temporarily on the E7 for nostalgia's sake. Do I consider Symbian S3 to be on the same level as Android in some respects regarding my usage, no, but it is still functional overall.

  • @absolon3 How Is The Venue Pro ? I've Been Thinking Of Getting It.

  • @07liberian Mine has been sitting without any usage at all since I got the Galaxy S2. I simply have no desire to use Windows Phone until an official Mango update is available. Even still, without certain features to make it comparable to Android or even Symbian...it may remain unused for the most part.

  • @absolon3 I do admit that N8 is no longer the top dog even when it was launch. But after owning it since December, it performs its best in photo and video without any apologies that it is dated. Did you downloaded the betalabs update for N8(30 fps version)? I've using it and it looks almost 1080p.

  • @07liberian Trent is associated with WomWorld. You can tell he was having trouble giving it harsh criticism because of that. Do you really think he'd buy a GS2 if his Nokia was so great? And N8 having more apps than WP7 doesn't mean shit. Let me know when it has more than a real competitor, like Android or iOS. Go look at engadget, BGR, or even CNET. No one doubts N8's build quality, but everyone agrees it's no longer a competitor. 2010 flagship phone with 680MHz? Too little, too late.

  • @pyeclam Why Would Trent Request A 680mhz N8 From Womworld For A 2nd Time If The GS2 Is So Great ? It's Not Like The N8 Is A New Phone That He Hasn't Reviewed Before. Clearly Its A Good Device Regardless Of The Low Specs, And It Offers Things The GS2 Doesn't.

Trent Even Said In The Comments Below That He Prefers Using The N8 (With The 680mhz CPU) Than The Dell Venue Pro (With A 1Ghz CPU) So CPU Speed Doesn't Always Matter.

  • @07liberian He just said he had no intention of using it outside of nostalgia's sake. Preference of the N8 over a Dell Venue Pro doesn't say much. N8 is a flagship phone; Venue Pro is not. I pointed out the CPU because it's outdated already upon launch. Pretty much the same tactics Blackberry has been using (except of late), and they're both going down the tubes. Stocks are dropping on both because of their inability to compete. What N8 offers is nostalgia and a shiny camera -- woopty doo.

  • @pyeclam LOL Preferring An Symbian Phone From Last Year That You Say Is Outdated Over A Relatively New WP7 Phone With Almost Double The Specs AND A Physical Keyboard Is Saying A Whole Lot, You Are Just Choosing Not To Accept It To Keep Your Point. But Whatever!

Stocks Raise And Fall All The Time In Companies, Doesn't Change The Fact That Nokia Is STILL The One Of The Top If Not The Top Phone Manufacturer In The World, RIM (Blackberry) Is Nowhere Near That So IDK Why You Even Brought Them Up.

  • @07liberian He chose not to use Venue Pro because of its lack of update. Until Mango comes out, it's still missing too many features. Trent's already mentioned how he is only using the N8 for nostalgia's sake -- stop ignoring that fact.

It's true that stock rise and fall, but it's also true Nokia is no longer the top contender. Check out any tech reviewing site. How often do you see Samsung, HTC, Motorola phones being reviewed? On a monthly basis. How often do people even reference Nokia? Never.

  • @pyeclam U.S. Based Tech Reviewing Sites, Nokia Never Was That Popular In That 1 Country But Globallly Nokia Is A Monster.

  • @07liberian Globally, it's declining. In the US, Nokia smartphones used to consistently rank as the top 5. Take a look at the N97 for example. It was regarded as one of the best smartphones along side HTC Touch Pro 2. And now they're nowhere to be seen.

  • @pyeclam That's The Best Bad Example Ever, Nobody Ever Regarded The N97 As One Of The Best Smartphones Alongside Anything. Who Told You That Lie ?!

  • @07liberian In other words, you're saying Nokia's flagship phone wasn't considered one of the best? Nice. Just keep contradicting yourself. You go from praising Nokia as great, then you dismiss one of their best phones. I'm not sure if I'm dealing with a troll or a fanboy, but it's pointless replying to either. Go back to making "stoner reviews." You're definitely building credibility as an intelligent reviewer. Later.

  • Comment removed

  • @pyeclam LOL You Fool, The Term "Flagship" Means Nothing Its Just A Stupid Title. Its Like "Champion OF THE WORLD" Becoming Champion Doesn't Mean You're The Champion Of The World, Just That 1 Organization.

The N97 May Have Been The Flagship, But It Wasn't The Best Phone Nokia Had To Offer Around That Time, That Was The N900...It Was 10x Better Than The N97 And Im Sure Most People Would Agree.

Yeah I'm Going To My "stoner reviews". MANY Intelligent People Say They Are Very Informative.

  • My goodness...hope it dies down before more damage is done. Take care, and STAY SAFE! :P

  • @gxcad Thanks so much!
