This is from World of Rougecraft from the Rogue Mute also known as the Warlock Idonttalk in the guild Rogues Take Zero Skill. This video was back in Vanilla wow days. If you watch the rogues had no cooldowns and could be used multi times of blind sap and vanish and re-stealth lol. Rogues were so OP back then.
@Dicckie00 They had cds but 21 points to cold blood and 21 points to prep ment every cd could be used twice and back to back eviscerate crits could be had. Preperation tooltip read "resets the cooldowns on your rogue abilities". To add fuel to the fire eviscerate at that time did static damage not based on weapon choice or attack power so a rogue naked hit just as hard as one in epics (with that one ability) and only lost damage from sinisterstrike and health/dodge by being naked.
@Dicckie00 Rogues haven't changed that much. A rogue can still beat people 1 vs 1 naked, but no one world pvps anymore so no one cares. Eviscerate damage was also redone to be based on AP but with at least two epic daggers you can still win naked (did it at 80 idk about 85). But at that time just like now rogues failed at mass pvp, get focused and you die. At that time it was the same for every class though, unless you had a healer which maydie rarely pvp'd without.
@RagingNidoking Back then Eviserate hit like a truck that towed smaller trucks, and more importantly it didn't scale with gear, it had a flat damage. Combine that with the fact that there was no such thing as resilience at the time, a good evis crit (from a naked or clothed rogue, it didn't matter) could easily rip away significant chunks of health from characters wearing top of the line plate gear.

the warrior is skilled, in PVP you have to change stances all the time, and what can he do? charge? no, hes in combat. Intercept? no he has no rage, and he doent manage to hit the rogue. Maydie's pve gear? first off, mute (the rogue) do not have any gear at all, and hes a rogue, has only one dagger. Pve gear = pvp gear in 60, there were'nt any resilience.

4. PvP trinkets in vanilla did not do what they do now, For warriors they removed stuns/snares. Dps trinkets were more worthwhile to use because of the dmg upgrade.
5. Just because he is in pve gear, it was not a giant disadvantage because resilience didnt exist. he may have had a 300 life difference between gear.
6. He uses all of his cooldowns to futher his claim of #3

Mute and Aaron made this series to demonstrate the flaws that the game had at this point. At this point the pvp trinket was class specific and removed 3 types of conditions, meaning that most of the trinkets couldn't be used against several classes. At this point endgame PvE trinkets were far more powerful for PvP. The lack of proper PvP trinkets and defensive abilities caused rogues, at this point a "more developed class", to be superior in PvP. This wasn't to demonstrate how good Mute is.
In fact the rogue in this video said it himself a fight against a skilled rogue was impossible to win at this stage in the game, he made the series of videos this clip is taken from specifically to point out how broken rogues were back then. Search world of roguecraft on google.
Rogues won fights naked agaisnt any class in pre TBC, they could keep anyone stun locked for about a full minute using their CDs, and eviscerate had a base damage of 1500 which did NOT change based on gear or weapons whatsoever. A rogue beating any class naked at this stage of the game is compleatly impossible, but this was in early stages of the game when rogues were superior to any class simply because of the ability to stun lock and deal 1500 dmg naked. Plus poison reduced speed by 75%.
@erikinho10 Maydie claimed that it wasn't him, while his guild confirmed that he used the same tactics as Maydie usually did - Mute/Aaron has a section about this on their website, saying that they wouldn't be surprised if he'd say that out of embarrassment after getting beaten by a naked rogue. Maydie didn't play badly, Mute just drained his rage and kept him in the charge dead zone to prevent him from getting anything done. Preventing Mute dead zoning might have caused a few hits if any.
Thats maydie alright, at least the character is the same one, so many rumors of him selling his account and so on and so on never really can say what happened, personally I think it was the same player, he did all about any warrior could do in that position I mean you can't do much against a well played stunlock rogue not in classic anyways...god I miss classic...oh sorry.
It's because back in the day there was a thing called "stunlock" which allowed rogues to just prevent players from doing anything. People still say stunlock today but it's nowhere near the same as back in the early days.

well yeah actually u need either a lot skill or way better gear than a warrior. gear is a valid option, i once played my buddys r14 rogue and i owned so bad, w/e having any experience with rogues in general.

i got 59 rogue and you can still pwn like this rogue - took like week to learn playing naked and stunlock perfectly ;P It's bit lucky too because you can miss blind and get screwed
whether it is Maydie or not it's a very skillful play by the rogue. He got hit once of the warrior and lost one third of his hp, just look at how the rogue plays his char.
Highly unlikely this was maydie with no intercept on him or anything, this would have been weeks after he made grand marshal as it took ages to drop ranks once you got 14, to get back to sergeant major.
You know what is hilarious...Maydie pvp video is the most watched PVP wow video...and it just happens that a naked rogue killed him..lol....this is maydie the wow character yes....maybe not the actually guy playing him though....that is just so ironic..lol. This was time just before the Burning Crusade expansion, when Grand Marshal weapons and Field Marshal armours required only honor to be bought.

For people who don't know the history of rogues.
During Vanilla, rogues were overpowered with their static Evi damage, also with the CD usage of Rogue's Evasion Vanish Preperation Blind Sap combo.
Basically, You do 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5. And the enemy is unable to do anything.
Just in case people say "Maydie is shit" without actually knowing shit themselves.

Mute and Aaron made this series to demonstrate the flaws that the game had at this point. At this point the pvp trinket was class specific and removed 3 types of conditions, meaning that most of the trinkets couldn't be used against several classes. At this point endgame PvE trinkets were far more powerful for PvP. The lack of proper PvP trinkets and defensive abilities caused rogues, at this point a "more developed class", to be superior in PvP. This wasn't to demonstrate how good Mute is.

In fact the rogue in this video said it himself a fight against a skilled rogue was impossible to win at this stage in the game, he made the series of videos this clip is taken from specifically to point out how broken rogues were back then. Search world of roguecraft on google.

Rogues won fights naked agaisnt any class in pre TBC, they could keep anyone stun locked for about a full minute using their CDs, and eviscerate had a base damage of 1500 which did NOT change based on gear or weapons whatsoever. A rogue beating any class naked at this stage of the game is compleatly impossible, but this was in early stages of the game when rogues were superior to any class simply because of the ability to stun lock and deal 1500 dmg naked. Plus poison reduced speed by 75%.

@erikinho10 Maydie claimed that it wasn't him, while his guild confirmed that he used the same tactics as Maydie usually did - Mute/Aaron has a section about this on their website, saying that they wouldn't be surprised if he'd say that out of embarrassment after getting beaten by a naked rogue. Maydie didn't play badly, Mute just drained his rage and kept him in the charge dead zone to prevent him from getting anything done. Preventing Mute dead zoning might have caused a few hits if any.

Thats maydie alright, at least the character is the same one, so many rumors of him selling his account and so on and so on never really can say what happened, personally I think it was the same player, he did all about any warrior could do in that position I mean you can't do much against a well played stunlock rogue not in classic anyways...god I miss classic...oh sorry.

It's because back in the day there was a thing called "stunlock" which allowed rogues to just prevent players from doing anything. People still say stunlock today but it's nowhere near the same as back in the early days.

well yeah actually u need either a lot skill or way better gear than a warrior. gear is a valid option, i once played my buddys r14 rogue and i owned so bad, w/e having any experience with rogues in general.
rogues take quite a bit skill when it comes to fight mages tho, silly basterds with blink and block, i just love it <3

@felesake if he's takin damage he's getting rage, demo shout costs 10 rage and will pull him out of stealth. intercept when hes kiting is key. and berserker rage to break sap costs 0 rage. terrible fight on the warriors part

Healers aside cuz they don't make you skilled or noob like some ppl say, If u watch maydie's video closely u can see the lack of skill and the fact that he clicked like 50% of his abilities. His video just shows an overgeared and overp warrior own vanilla noobs.(overpowered because warriors got nerfed heavily about the time his video came out, enrage from 40% to 25% and wep speed normalization on abilities) He is known because he was amongst the first to reach rank 14 and actually make a video.

Highly unlikely this was maydie with no intercept on him or anything, this would have been weeks after he made grand marshal as it took ages to drop ranks once you got 14, to get back to sergeant major.
