  • Cruelty yes. Co-equating technology markets with corporate/government 'corruption' is a half-truth. These things don't build themselves... 10s of million of pleasant farmers didn't design supercomputers or the internet! You needed 'intellectual' heavy weights and savvy engineers to make all this work! And the return gave the barely literate the ability to have and use computers! Computers have taken the place of the mail box, telephone, TV and library for me. It's easier to own than a car.
