  • I want Eyefinity 1.5 million. 1 screen dedicated to 1 pixel times 1.5 million.

  • 24x 4k projectors

  • those black gap is ruining everything

  • OHHH YEAA!!! THE BEST COMPUTER TO PORN

  • Great proof of concept.

  • if your a hockey goalie you will love this

  • Well, I'd rather having one big 130" 1080p projector or one big HDTV than this shitty x24 1080p monitors stacked to fuck next to each others.. I really don't see what's so cool about having x24 1080p monitors with these shitty bezels, just to add more pixels? is that what you're trying to achieve? then what?

Go ahead.. ruin your experience by just raising more pixels, so stupid...

  • Porn x 24

  • i like the part where u cant see shit cause of the bezels everywhere

  • Holy dancing Jesus, the motherfucking bezels!

  • Looks cool... but ... the borders/grid...

  • those borders.. why wasting all your money

  • It's ironic that a video showcasing impressive resolution is shot on what appears to be one of the world's worst cameras.

  • Why eachy card is active, and no Crossfire?

  • i smell virginity.....

  • you guys are missing the point... if you read the uc's comments you would realize that this is not about gaming quality but hardware possibilities. The fact is if you can find the funds for a wall; that size and projectors this would blow anyone away (in terms of resolution,) i know most viewers out there (including myself) cannot afford this but the fact that we may never own this setup does not mean people should be discriminating it... please think before you bitch.

  • 73 people can't afford one monitor.

  • Playing games through a jail cell.

  • a stupid idea, the bild quality is bullshit,

man see many black lines, each monitor doesnt run at optimal but at lower display mode such as 640x480,

    make no sense,just use a projector,you get a better solution !

  • Money in da bank

  • how can u enjoy a game with so much lines in it ?

  • Total Cost of monitors: 3,600$, Total cost of projector: 300$

  • Where the hell do you got money from?

  • this sucks, who wants to play video games through bars of monitors ?

  • I really dont see a reason why using dozens of monitors instead of one or 2 high quality projectors

  • @voron27 Because this is just showing off. The normal use of this is for epic computing / developing.. ;)..

  • Hi, what mainboard are you using?

  • Hi,

How do you config this "hiperwall" configuration in Linux? Its neccesary another software? o plugin?

    Thanks

  • i cant see the plane -.-

  • Hi, my company is looking to build a 18 monitor video wall (6 wide x 3 tall). I contacted AMD ATI about their video cards and they said that their Eyefinity 6 only supports up to six monitors. We're just looking to extend our desktop so that the wall is one long desktop in Windows 7. Did you have to use some custom program/driver to get this to work?

  • @Lycc825 You could power 18 screens with three video cards. They used 4 in this video. Don't know about any custom software but i guess you would still need somewhere to plug the 18 monitors into. Maybe 6 projectors off one video card would work?

  • soo now you can watch 24 different porn videos...

  • It's like playing from jail lol

  • Comment removed

  • Bleh, 24 screens too much. I'd rather have 24 computers, line up my screens like this, and just use synergy, and for big stuff put a 50" tv or projector to watch.

  • i rather get 4 huge displays, way cheaper guys

  • Smooth gameplay

    (Y)

  • I've got 6 TVs in the back seat of my Hummer.

  • i would spend some more money on screens without edges, then it looks like a big tv!

  • I have a Sapphire HD6950 with 2xDP, 2xDVI, and 1x HDMI port. Can i use 3 monitor if i plug 1 to HDMI and 1-1 to DVI? Coz its dont work for me.. help plz!

  • @csuka86 you can use dvi-dvi and dp or dvi hdmi dp so 2 connections and a displayport 3th monitor needs display port

  • Flying in Prison - The video game.

  • 24 monitors without v-sync!OMG!!

  • @guidum69 LOL..

  • All the monitors are nicely synched, they don't "staircase", as the uploader put it.

Still, what's the point? It's simply too big, and besides, the edges of each monitor deny lasting gratification from this extravagance.

  • looks like prison view - lol

  • Damn how big is your fucken house :O

  • Awesome! I love playing games through bars!! Seriously don't waste your money on such an old, outdated setup. Get a projector. Job done.

  • @porschedrifter The idea for a projector would be hook up 24 projectors. This is 24 1080p screens tied together. Due to the space constraints at the launch, they were only 24" screens. If I had my way, it would have been 24 projectors across a very large wall.

  • @mavflysagain why use projectors when you can use football stadium screens? cummon guys

  • @mavflysagain thats not the point, the point is, with an projector, even if the quality is a lil inferior than 24 monitors like you say, you will be able to see ALL the image, and not through "bars" the spaces between the monitors, i saw your video, and i can barelly see the plane :o i would prefer to buy an projector and wee the complete image than see the image with black stripes innit... :\

  • @KazPeRinzky Google "edgeblend". Not one projector, 24 projectors. The technology is available. For the demo purposes, I didn't have the space for projectors, so it became the concept of 24 HD video outputs being driven by one PC. You could probably get monitors for about $200 or projectors for about $500. Then you just need a 50x30 foot display surface..

  • @mavflysagain yeah it could be that, but i dont like the fact that you see the game in "bars", its cool, to see a game like really big, because you feel more "in the game" you know, but i would like to have a clean image.

  • @mavflysagain instead of an image with spaces between the monitors.

  • Funny how technology gets outdated so quickly after spending so much money.

  • @mavflysagain I am rather confused about this all. I currently have three monitors in my Eyefinity setup, i'd like 6. So my question is instead of buying one 6870 eyefinty 6 edition card could i simply buy another 5850 and output the other three monitors to that card? So three monitors out of one 5850 and three out of the other and then make an eyefinity display (one big screen from the six with two cards). I don't wan't to sell my 5850 currently but im not fussed on buying another.

  • @porschedrifter Old and outdated? Ha!

Three 1080p monitors give you a great Eyefinity experience at a low cost, the triple 23-incher setup I'm eying is about as expensive as a single quality projector. `3`

  • get a projector?

  • Would be epic if the damn bezels were smaller.

  • To be honest, if I wanted a display that large, I'd used an overhead projector. As a proof of concept thing, yeah, kinda cool that you hooked up that many monitors.

  • wow...how much power does ur psu have?

  • @slrmclaren5200 he just plugs the monitors directly into a windmill or something

  • LOL there's so much monitor plastic border that this doesnt look lik tis worth it.

  • How much this cost??? I recommend a Laservue instead, only 3k.

  • Guys I think the point here is the fact we have technology today to do that its not so much "Go do this yourself its an awesome setup! :D" I think their just showing that its possible to do it.

  • i wouldn't make it to play fsx with that grid overlay (The monitor edges)

  • is that gta sa?

  • ......projectors would have been allot cheaper and would not piss me off as much.

  • POINTLESS PIECE OF SHIT!!!!

  • @TheAgnostiic You said it

  • a projector setup would cost a shit ton of money, but on the bright side If you do the same thing with projectors the size of the screen would be like an IMAX theatre and NO BORDERS. projectors are the way to go with eyefinity.

  • that monitor setup consumes more power than the pc itself. madness. imo it's not worth it, and it looks like shit with those borders

  • I don't like it

  • dude please play a porno on it :)

and show us the wideo :)

  • Imagine this with 30" 2560x1600 monitors :D

  • Why aren't there any monitors with ultra thin borders? I can't belive that this isn't possible yet to produce a display that only has a few milimeters of plastic sourrounding it.

  • Can barely see the plane at all

  • well what u should now do i buy a projector and project the image over the 24 monitors and cover the damn borders :))

  • well all i can see is borders

  • It's like looks from a window with the boarders

  • why you didnt buy a projector instead? dumbass.

  • Can I buy it by you? I pay 1 Euro for them all :)

    (jk :P)

  • Looks like someone have too much money... I cant afford a stupid 37" tv and you are doing this bullshit. congrats...

  • @Atomcitypasi Hahaha. >_<

  • Comment removed

  • Looks like you're playing this through someones window.

  • @nickisnick0 lol

  • Lol this is useless until people use monitors without edges. Cause as you can see in this video the plane is blocked by black lines

  • 24 monitors and you cant see the plane :DDD xahxahxhahxahxha

  • i find this very annoying personally. the curve monitors are gonna be the better route for me. the edges of monitor are just too distracting for me to look past. bothers me.

  • now play crysis @ this!

  • Getting a TVThis big for my PC Hopefully gonna have one desk near the wall for my key board mouse Ect and another like 6meters for the TV

  • or you could buy a projector...

  • @waytomuchsparetime, if he buys a projector the images would get bigger, such as the plane that would still take up almost the entire screen, the reason he did this is to get a full view of the surrounding.

  • @sjvietboy408 oh ok that actually makes sense haha

  • subscribe to ultimatecomputernerd

  • the gaps would piss me off

  • Wow.......

  • YOU uploaded in September 11 0.o

  • all i can see is the frame of the screens

  • really cool tech

  • quick question

how the hell can you play with all those lines , i would go crazy and prob throw it away!

  • dumb... could've saved money and got a high def projector

  • errrrhh.......will sony 4k projector cheaper than this set up? for long run?

  • Looks like a barred window

  • why would u wanna play with so much black bars.. i'd rather wait until it's ultra thin.

  • Ever thought of just using a projector? xD

  • i can see a light...a flickering light @ 60mhz

  • Imagine crysis 2 on that

  • The most impressive thing is that the OS is Ubuntu... (I love ubuntu)

  • you can have 4 video cards in one computer

  • Comment removed

  • i think one giant projection screen will do the same.

  • @mozartman2000 With less resolution.

  • @mozartman2000 wouldn't it be more pixalated?

  • @mozartman2000 Yea it would. With 24 times lower resolution -.-

  • Sorry if I sound arrogant but wouldn't it be better if you just had one giant screen that big? Just asking.

  • @TakeshiKuroiShiro Well then you wont have bigger pixel.

  • or you can just get a projector, and not have those annoying lines

  • now have a monitor set up as 1920x1080 ......... as in 1920 monitors wide and 1080 monitors high.

    yeah.

  • Do 2D or 3D surround from Nvidia works with Linux?

  • the black lines are @$&^ SHIT

  • VERY LOW :(

  • If we could have borderless monitors that can be connected into a seamless display then that would be nice. Just imagine stomping heads in a shooter game on a display that big!

  • i was lookink for this, the blend is now the only remaining problem.

  • this is well thinked when using large projections screens with 4, 5 or more projectors. We must then had to have blend of the edges.

  • too many screen's...screen's edges looks stupid with more than 3 screen's

  • To many lines you can see much lol stil cool though

  • looks like playing from inside a cell

  • a beamer would be smarter...

  • @Dan81369 But not nearly as much fun.

  • @mavflysagain

i think the black frames would annoy me a bit, but if u like it.. :)

  • @mavflysagain can you describe what kind of fun you had here? with beamers and edge blending you would have a much better and greater result

  • @Dan81369 and a hell cheaper

  • @saiiad737

    jep ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @Dan81369 just replace each monitor by a beamer and try to get an imagination of THAT image !!!! ;)

  • @skipperlefl

    :D

  • @Dan81369 but a beamer doesn't got the same resolution...

  • @lamnesity

    true.true

  • @Dan81369 A PROJECTOR would be smarter than this set up!

  • 1920 x 1200 x 24 = 55,296,000? So 55 megapixels, not 63.

  • @PkerWhomerang The mechanism used for the screen includes doing the rendering by the GPU for the area that is not visible. The viewport (screens) only present 55 million pixels. But the GPU is rendering all of them. If you look towards the end of the video you can see that the GPU is rendering under the bezel. Put differently, the setup is 4 quadrants. Each quadrant has a 3x2 set of screens to render. It renders this as a single surface and randr places the viewports over it.

  • @mavflysagain isn't that a huge waste? That's 8 million pixels worth of GPu power that could otherwise go to boosting the awful framerate minimum this setup is getting.

  • @PkerWhomerang It's actually the most effective. Otherwise you are rendering 24 individual frames vs 4 individual frames, there is an overhead in setup for each frame. The framerate was about 30-40 fps. The application itself caused the artifact in the last quarter of the video.

  • @PkerWhomerang Awful framerate? -.- 30 FPS is not awful at all.

  • @PkerWhomerang 1080 is 1920*1080 not 1200

  • @archangelsean The monitors were 24 inches at 1920x1200

  • @archangelsean Videodescription ;-D

  • why dont you buy a tv instead of seeing a tic tac toe bored on you screen

  • @BowChickaWoWo32 Because that would only be a maximum of 1920 x 1080p whereas this is 11,200 x 4800p. 1080p would look awful on something that big, it would be blurry as hell, almost like if you put this video in 240p.

  • WTH over??? 24 screens how the heck did u piad this ;DD

  • gay!

  • @MrBrackdown Each one of those monitors is running a high resolution. Just one gigantic monitor would look like shit if it was stretched that large. The black borders suck, but this is more of a way to show things to come and how fast the video card is to render that many monitors at that high of resolution

  • And why it is good that we can play in 24 monitor?? i think nobody will play in home with 24 monitor...

  • @MrBrackdown also its at higher resolution so it looks alot better than 1080p

  • does not look cool

  • Its funny how many of you are saying to buy projectors or large TVs. Size is not the issue here, its resolution. All of these monitors together are pushing at least 20x the resolution of a projector, which equals 20x the detail.

  • ,,,,,Get a PROJECTOR and put a Fishnet over your eye before you start the game,,,,

  • @MrBrackdown It was a technology demo. It's intent was to show 24 displays driven by 4 cards on one machine. The real use would be 24 projectors creating a 360 immersive environment.

  • wow nice!!

  • whatever happened to FGFS?

  • I was just about to say that it's fake. Till I saw the PC with all the display ports -_-

  • So much porn

  • All that money and time and they couldn't find some small bezel monitors? Those bezels are huge. Fucking monitor companies need to get the lead out and make some no bezel monitors, or at the very least more monitors with super small bezels.

  • Looks shit with those black frame lines. fcking annoying what a waste of time. That would cost a shit load but it looks crap.

  • Where is my Crosshair?

  • you know there comes a point where too many Monitors and too many bezel lines just make the game look silly . this is one of them

  • Loox like you're in a jail DDD

  • all i see are black line from the monitors, sorta wrecks the game tbh

  • imagine bringing that to a lan -.-' hehehe

  • @doctorkiller0 You'd need 10 roadies with you. :)

  • Just Buy an 52 '' LED TV , Its gonna do the same thing without those black line lol

  • i never knew u could set up multiple different cards without crossfire or sli at the same time on 1 computer, could you do this on 1 monitor? and for example my 5870 with my 9500gt?

  • @MisterBegic because 1080p at 60 inches just looks soooooo good

  • i see staircase effect at 1:11 with the runway :O lol

  • looks like shit

  • a 1080p projector wouldn't hurt!

  • beautiful
