Why should Senator Xenophon meet with a dangerous organization like Scientology?

I don't believe that any politician should be made to meet with convicted fraudsters, or should they have to meet with accused kidnappers, blackmailers, embezzelers etc. I would no more expect our politicians to meet with a biker gang accused of the same things than I would want them to meet with a dangerous cult.
