  • SEEN BONO BECOME MCPHISTO IN ABOUT 93-94 AT PARKHEAD GLASGOW, CONCERT WAS AMAZING AND I WAS SITTING IN THE BEST SEATS IN THE STADIUM THROUGH A DEAR FREIND BONO WAS OFFERED FIVE MILLION TO DO PART IN A BATMAN MOVIE AS MCPHISTO HE SAID I STICK TO WHAT I DO BEST SING TRUR OR FALSE ONLY BONO AND HIS AGENCY TEAM COULD VERIFY

  • Small mistake in the description: "Bone became McPhisto".... It's Bono but i understand it's most likely a typo.

  • I worship Bono! Bono is so Godlike to me. I really want to make his day. Worship his body with my hands and tongue and hair. Etc. I keep my life from getting too dull with thoughts exactly like this. Thank God for Bono.

  • i like how he just orders the stage crew out ;)

  • Macphisto is still for me simply the greatest music persona ever created. That still proud and charismatic charm is as vibrant as the first time I saw him and I still smile whenever he shows. I'm always made up that he will be forever immortalised in one of the finest tours in earths history and I never tire of seeing him. Simple yet impossible to mimic. Comedic yet tragic. Mischievous yet truthful. Bono did what very little people could and bought to life a legend in his own time.

  • Macphisto, I hope you kick 4 people's butt with platform shoes.

  • I was about 15 or so when I saw this show, and already I was stunned by how creative Bono truly was.

  • BONO becomes McPhisto. I dont know who BONE is.

  • i am not a fan of this song but it's freakin' brilliant live with the transformation to McPhisto.

  • mr mC Phisto at Glastonburry!!!!!!!!!

  • kkkkkkkkkkk olha o susto do CHARLES CLAYTON aos 3;56 , paresse que o the ejge viu ele deu um sorrisinho sarcartico...

  • I absolutely love what U2 is now, but if I had to choose a climax of creativity for the band, the ZOOTV era is what I'd go with. A time of phenomenal music complimented by loads of irony and showmanship. It was a way of expressing what glamorization and insencerity in the media could do to anyone enrolled in "stardom". MacPhisto represents the stigma that can be a attached to anyone aspiring to be someone, and they can be submerged into the underbelly of pop culture. Truly relevant, and genius.

  • @DMcCU2 Brilliant!

  • this is not THE REAL U2

  • Bono, bring back Macphisto!!!!

  • @DarthBono1 as much as I would love to see that, what makes this whole tour amazing is that it was what it was and it should not be repeated. That's what makes it even more special

  • My favoritism generally tends to rely primarily upon accessibility - something I can access anytime of day, although "The Joshua Tree" and "Achtung Baby" are U2's best albums - "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb", "War" and particularly "Zooropa" are my personal favorite.

  • I don't know why, but Mr. MacPhisto reminds me of Lady Gaga

  • @GeroVox LOL!!!!

  • @GeroVox that's because MacPhisto parodies her, way ahead of her time, pure genious!

  • Thund up if you want the come back of mister Mc Physto at the futures U2 tour!!!!

  • In my office at the time, there was a trashcan with funneled metal lid which made the same sound as Mullen, Jr.'s drum here.

  • I'm searching for the full introduction of the song: Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car. If anyone can help me I appreciate it.

  • I love Adam's reaction at 3:56. He knew it was coming and he's still surprised. That pretty much sums up U2's career to me. Always surprising and unpredictable. God, I love these guys.

  • Fantástica eterna, linda... wow

  • Amazing intro and I like McPhisto's eccentric behavior.

  • super chido.

  • I love you U2.

  • I really miss this U2!! I want them back.

  • im addicted to this song!!!!! bono is so fucking hot!!!!!!!!!!

  • Zooropa is such an underrated album. Zoo Tv was their best tour.

  • zoo tv tour at sydney dugy the dip keep it up U2rattle and hum,JOSHA TREE, TOUR WITH BIG LEMON,VERTICO,NOT SEEN ALL 360%TOUR, SEEN SOME CLIPS BEST TOUR BAND IN THE WORLD DUGY THE DIP

  • this whole video live zoo tv tour at sydney dugy the dip keep it up U2rattle and hum,JOSHA TREE, TOUR WITH BIG LEMON,VERTICO,NOT SEEN ALL 360%TOUR, SEEN SOME CLIPS BEST TOUR BAND IN THE WORLD DUGY THE DIP

  • Look at adam at 3.57 ahahahahahahahahaha

  • @Jysti hehe yes - Adam was lucky to be alive and standing at this gig - he was very ill.

  • @fortitude78 Actually, that was just an excuse.

Truth is, Adam was out partying and got really fucking drunk. Bono was legit afraid this show would be U2's last; he, The Edge and Larry seriously considered kicking Adam out if he didn't change his behavior.

  • @beau99 There's never been any suggestion Adam was going to be 'kicked out' of the band. Read Bill Flanagan's 'U2 at the End of the World', where the truth of the matter - as much as we'll EVER know - is retold largely firsthand.

  • "People of the former Soviet Union: I've given you capitalism, so now you can all dream of being as wealthy and glamourous as me!

People of Sarajevo, count your blessings: there are those all over the world who have food, heat, and security, but they're not on TV like you are."

    Bono as his most sarcastic.

  • I almost can't believe U2 were so good, now (since ATYCLB) are total sell outs.

  • @lesassassins LOL, no.

  • Tried this with vuvuzela-horn or what it was.. Kind of funny for a second.

  • SUPERB PERFORMANCE! It was a really cool idea - to have Bono playing a fictional character. It gives the concert a special theatrical mood. I absolutely love Zoo TV Tour, it is U2's best one and maybe even the best of all tours by any artist! Thank you for sharing!

  • I love this and Lemon after this :D

  • Very Cool

  • I wish I could have been to that concert.

  • This is 100% proof that .. I guess the word "pop culture" was so much better in the 90s. From the stage structure, to the whole set up, the build up, everything just seems so phenomenally cinematic. You can quote me on this... "we have come so far in this world and yet have achived so little and lost much more "

  • this song kicks ass live man for real

  • I know you like your pop stars to be exciting...so I bought...these...

    very cool...

  • Adam got the heeby jeebies that night. Mad on the drink!!! LOL

  • 3:56 look adam!

  • @U2SSana lol i just noticed that too! i'd jump if i heard a cannon firing paper $ too :p

  • did people really got a camera at this concert?

  • best concert easily i have seen.....i was 2nd row the night b4 when adam didnt play

  • Still after 16 years the best concert of all time, U2 was at their peak here, a peak that no other band ever have reached. This is concert is the finest thing i music history. Or at least, that's my opinion.

  • So awesome. I hate that I was only born the year before this was released. I never got to go to anything U2-related lol. Thanks for posting :)

  • What a great show!

You can see he is having too much fun with the character. Not to mention a great jam.

    Thanks for posting!

    ~~

    Luna

  • is working for iluminati?

    hmmhhh must proof it!!

    but u too 4 ever !!!

  • Mr. MacPhisto ftw! :D

  • Very Outstanding!

  • What can you say lol

  • I know you like your pop stars to be exciting, so I bought.. these..

  • awesome performance and production!!!

  • so cool!!!

  • this is so funky i had to take a shower when the vid was over.

  • Me assustei junto com Adam!

  • Great vid btw I did not have room to say hehe Thank u for posting it I loved watching the U2 syndey tour and its hard to find XD so thank u for putting this up cause its one of my fav songs and parts of that concert ^_^ I am faving it as well ^_~

  • Sydney ... stupid typos, heh

  • Let me start off by saying, I love U2 and have, basically since I was born and thats not an xageration, seriously Anyway... This era was one of my favs as I was born into and its got a darker more cynical and surreal-realism side to it which I love and relate to, but I think everything U2 does is like a color - Red, Blue, Green, Purple ect. and they all have a purpose and place in the vast and far reaching rainbow of their music and purpose ... at least to me this is what they are ^_~

  • wrong. no line on the horizon is brilliant, the best thing they've done in 15 years.

  • absolute bollocks this is greatest period in u2 career ! live and on record all stemS from the start of the achtung baby era ! no line is boring

  • ahhh hahah Adam at 3:57

  • LOOOOOOOL !!!

  • Heh, yeah :D... although, notice the fact that even such explosion (and the fact it scared him) did not break his concentration. Kinda cool guy, this Adam.

  • People of Sarajevo, count your blessings, there are those all over the world who have food, heat and security, but they're not on tv like you are.

  • Enjoy the surface.

  • you're gonna be waitin a LONG LONG while.

they were thinking many things... look around, open your eyes and ears and realize there's a world outside your neighborhood.

    Time to explore.

  • Maybe is true but I think that they still performed a great rock-joke experimental circus.

  • Are you kidding; You can't enjoy the 'meat' of life, the things that count. The Real, in other words, stuff like The Joshua Tree with out having the kitschy stuff, ( the Zoo tv tour), to compare it to. Both are great. Why not have a little fun with kitsch sometimes?

  • You should look towards change in your life and accept it, along with the inevitable future. Being stuck on familiar paths and not opening up yourself to change is just a boring way to live. God bless U2 for being bold enough to risk everything in order to follow their changing perspectives on life as well as the changing world. THIS IS THE BEST ERA OF U2. BAR NONE>

  • This is absolutely brilliant, like everything they did in the 90's AND the 80's.

But their "return" to the roots is a flop. People like it, but it's simply not in the same class.

Edge should have listened to Bono when he played "Beautiful day" riff for the first time.

  • superb

  • oh that was funny! the streamers went off and he jumped!

  • "Goodbye Neonazis, I hope they`ll give u Auschwitz" That`s Brilliant, love this performance

  • Best u2 live song that i've seen drunk, A-HA.

  • ahaha I see that now 3:56

  • very good

  • excellent :D

  • I never noticed Adam getting startled at 03:56

  • xD ye that's rght !

  • sure a great song! :)

    adam in 03:56 min hahahaha

  • that was a good one :D
