Wow! An FC fan until "Full House" they drifted out of my life when RT left. Last year I rediscovered the music. Watching this video brough it was a welcome surprise to see RT and Swarb playing again. I was impressed with the singer; similar tone and phrasing to Sandy's original. Was this a one-off by RT? I have always thought that his original sound on the Fender and style of lead playing could have been used more prominently since FC. A big thank you to whoever put this up.

I think Chris does a fine job and she's very brave for taking it on here & Cropredy too but let's be honest - it's only a pale imitation of Sandy's version.

I think the vocal matches the Sandy Denny one, to be honest. It's not really a "reinvention", as you say it does much the same job, but I think it sounds as good - it's just not the original...

Fairport Live (A Moveable Feast in the US) this isn't. It's hard to beat Sandy, of course, but Simon has done quite a good job at taking on this song. Listen to the Cropredy Capers box and there's quite a few wonderful versions of Sandy's songs. This one is't great.

Chris does well, but she lets it get too talky at times, and too bluesy (never thought I see myself write that!) at others.

Her voice is great, don't get me wrong. I can't think of anyone alive who has a better voice for this. OK, Julianne Regan, possibly...

But the way Chris decides to sing the song is not entirely to my taste. Only about 90% ;)
