  • BIG guitar mistake at 3:41 =/

  • @difaravon93 : if you want to see perfect technical skills go watching dream theatre, this is about feeling and atmosphere. if a musician is in a kind of delirium on stage it might happen, that he produces a mistake, but it's better this way than guys playing perfect without living their emotions ;)

  • @Beerkanon this post contains a concentrated form of wank

  • The drummer could've been a littler tighter and more kick back. But that's just me... still good though.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaww <3

    beautiful song

  • chingona rola

  • This is a great song from a great band! HAIL AGALLOCH!

  • chingona la rola, no hay como escuchar estas obras maestras del matal, salu2 desde MEXICO

  • look cooler? whatever they look awesome as themselves. that makes them cooler than most anyway

  • @PinkFloydrulez Well said. too much emphasis is put on "look" instead of talent. Someone could put on the "corpse paint" and try and "look" grim and forlorn", but be musically worthless. I prefer them be themselves and keep up the excellent musicianship.

  • best dvd you got since linkin park?? wtf?

  • My favorit song!

    Agalloch rules!!!

  • dekker is nuts

  • The drummer is like way faster. What the fuck was happening with him???

  • @morganix007 they all played it in faster tempo asshole

  • @rock2metal666 Bitch I'm talking about that he's like off time compared to the band, U dick sucker! Go and tell him to stick his drum sticks into your ass!!!

  • @morganix007 oh boohoo cry me a river... go nag to ur boyfriend and suck each others dick off asshole

  • @rock2metal666 U pussy! U R the one who likes to 69ning with everything that has a dick. I love chicks, not dicks. As a matter of fact I'll stop saying dick so U wouldn't melt. Mean while fist your butthole punk!

  • @morganix007 ooh boo hoo, i bet u just copied what ur dad tell u everyday hahaha pathetic bitch

  • @rock2metal666 No dude, I say what U tell me that Ur faggy dad do to your ass, Don't call pathetic to your mother, after all she gave birth to you from her ass, so U R a turd.

  • @morganix007 not only that was corny and unoriginal but that sucked as well... just as you do with dicks

  • @rock2metal666 U do are corny dude! You have nothing more to say. Have dignity and surrender. So U don't like what I do with my dick??? Ok, I'll stop putting my dick in your mouth, sorry about the times U swallowed.

  • im surprised hes using godin exit22. they are decent guitars though,

  • lil fast in the begin still awesome performance

  • I love Agalloch, they one of my favorite *studio* bands... but wow, they are clearly not a live band. I feel like they aren't very tight here... their timing was off more than once, and it didn't feel very organic IMO. And I was waiting for an epic take on the ending, and it didn't even quite live up to the album for me. A little underwhelmed.

  • @crcox87 Clearly not a live band, compare the sound and feeling of these guys vrs Opeth lets say for an example and kind of the same groobe, it just doesnt sound the same, its not tight, cohesive, passionate, as i said before it sounds weak, unorganized and clumsy. Agalloch is an amazing band but for a long time their were no live shots of the band, now with youtube and internet more people can see that clearly they are not a LIVE band and have a long way to go in that dept.

  • @afoolisharrangement Not to run off on a passionate ode to Opeth... but they are sublime live. I absolutely love seeing them perform. They bring those songs to life, and they are SO damned tight.

  • @afoolisharrangement In their recent concert I went to they were GREAT live.

  • @afoolisharrangement People didn't see live clips because they just recently started touring, originally they literally were not a live band, I could be wrong but I don't think they started doing shows until after Ashes Against the Grain. And I think this is an awesome performance personally, pretty powerful

  • @afoolisharrangement You know what, I didn't read the whole thing, I apologize. I think the performance is great, but yes, the drummer wasn't cohesive with everyone else, I'm sure they have improved, this was quite awhile ago, they just toured in my area recently actually, unfortunately I couldn't go

  • Being surprised this is an american band is a fucking moron.

  • @afoolisharrangement Troll fag, go rage somewhere else.

  • the drummer sucks ass,

  • @afoolisharrangeme

If he can make me head bang on a youtube video.. he doesnt suck ass.. HE ROCKS!

  • @afoolisharrangement Are you a drummer?

  • @afoolisharrangement Dude the drummer Aesop did not compose the drum part to this song. The song is easy to play. But the new album he composed and it is incredible and really fun to play.

  • @DestroyEET Yes, thanks for proving my point, if the drums are simple, and they are VERY simple, why does this guy do such a mediocre job? Listen little babies, I was listening to metal when you were in your diapers watching backyardigans. Dont try and argue, its a fact, and I LOVE this band, the drum parts suck, its not solid, it doesnt have that feeling drummers give songs, it sounds soft, synthetic with absolutely no passion. The drummer is clearly sub par.

  • @afoolisharrangement Who ever said that the drums were simple? I'd like to see you play wipeout five times without taking a break!

  • @afoolisharrangement I agree. I actually watched this live version because I wanted to see if that was just how he chose to play in the studio, and if his take live was different. The end of this song gives me goosebumps because I impose my own drums over what he plays lol so much potential there!

  • @crcox87 finally a smart person who knows what he is talking about, stop being fan boys, I love this band, but the weakest link is the drummer, they do sound better on the albums, but be objective, look and listen to the live DVD and you will see that the drummer seems nervous or distracted, or just plain scared. Agalloch songs are so long and amazing that a bad ass drummer would certainly elevate their sound so much more, the potential for amazing drumming is being wasted with this guy, sorry.

  • @afoolisharrangement Well what I meant was that this drummer is their new drummer and did not record this drum part. The new album that he recorded on has better drumming but to be honest Agalloch has never had the most difficult drum parts.

  • Seeing these guys in a week. Stoked.

  • @calmsnowfall enjoy?

  • Are people really surprised that American bands can make good prog metal? Dream Theater, Death and Fates Warning come to mind. King's X too, if you're into that kind of thing.

  • Comment removed

  • Love this band, just can't understand why they're playing 7/8 strings when they can barely play 6

  • Not to dismiss Agalloch's amazingness- I have to say that the drummer throws the song off.

  • 2:43 lol

  • John clean voice is amazing

  • @axzck For computers sake...

  • Way too fast.

  • @andy92811 they playing it faster on live, coz is more fun

  • Pretty bad DVD, especially for such an awesome band..

  • One of the best band of the world!...

  • agalloch es la honda. puta madre k buena banda nada pretenciosa ni fantoche!!!!!!!

  • This mix sucks, is the dvd this bad?

  • @bryanoca

Yeah the mixing on the whole DVD is fucked up. The guitars sound like shit.

  • +1 hate that "look cooler" crap, look Motley Crue and all that shit and they suck balls.

  • si ficcchhhkkk

  • for this band i exists!!!!

  • One of my favorite bands, just wish they looked cooler...it would make them more interesting live. GREAT BAND very inspiring

  • @DOOMBASSIST4

    "look cooler"?

Whats that? The music is great... just a breeze in mind. They don't have to look cool. Cool is just a foolisch word for mainstream and that shit.

Cool is not a word that can discribe such things as agalloch.

  • @Spiker753 Shut the fuck up I made a statement. Dont get all the sensitive and butt hurt

  • @DOOMBASSIST4

And I made a contra statement, so you are the person who don't know how to discuss, or how to avoid with those arguments.

So, just calm down and if you want to speak with me, just turn down and talk with me serene. Thank you.

  • Orgasmic

  • 1:05

    Michael Jackson?

  • @deadbutfree33 You are my hero for pointing that out.

  • @deadbutfree33 LOL!!! jajajaja XD

  • Sounds like Swedish band

  • Even if I don´t really like the music Agalloch make, I have to admit that they are special and it seems like this really is music that means a lot to everyone who is a fan. Just like the music of Samsas Traum (my fav band) means something to me. And I love this, you can´t find this in music being popular at the moment.

  • @Alex1710XVII The world needs more people like you.

People who appreciate something even if it doesn't match their taste.

  • Agalloch! Stop being so spotty with your touring and come to Mid America, we need you badly. It's so hardcore and metalcore here I feel cramped in a reality of tight jeans.

  • ohhhh boy the voice of the singer is really amazing!!! the tone... the taste... wow how he can change the voice and combine of that way, really amazing, I love agalloch I have all albums :) and yes! they are from USA!

  • I thing that their drummer isn't really good...He really screws up sometimes...However Agalloch is just AMAZING!!!!So beautiful songs and atmosphere...Wish I could see them performing live in Greece someday...

  • @SumerianDaemonFC Μακάρι...

  • @SumerianDaemonFC Where? Are you a drummer? I hear absolutely no problems with the drumming. Aesop, the drummer, is fantastic. Maybe you should learn what the fuck you're talking about before you badmouth someone on youtube.

  • this video does not do the song justice. the drummer completely fucks it up, and this live version is pretty bad compared to the studio version

  • @primarypenguin You should appreciate that they bothered to play live.

  • @NostalgicDays88 In my opinion, this band shouldn't even be playing most of their songs live, especially stuff from The Mantle. Sons from Ashes Against the Grain are passable live, but it seems like the band turns more into a jam band or something, and lacks a lot of the qualities that are on the recording that drew me to the band in the first place.

  • @primarypenguin You should watch their interview from the dvd, they did a lot of changes to the songs so they could play them live.

I enjoy them and have yet to see them play live -___-

  • I'm reminded of Windir's better moments.

  • Amazing!!!

  • Agalloch

  • these dvds are really well made... sometimes a bands first dvd just sux, not this one tho

  • dang nigga this is fricking great

  • Call me crazy, but one of the reasons I will be moving back to Portland, OR. is because I will be able to see Agalloch when they play there.

  • Jeez it's a different experience faster like this

  • the best band ever!!!!! just amazing!!!! i have all the cd, ep, demos, everything!!!! please go to mexico, come here!!!!! please!!! i need to see you in live...

  • well this is the 1st time ive heard this band and i think there amazing...any other really good songs by them?

  • @intoxicatedskier you find anything yet?

  • @wayfechylde3 well that whole album other then that, no

  • @intoxicatedskier just look them up on wikipedia or something i guess. my favorite song by them is called "The Shadow of Our Pale Companion" off the album The Mantle, another quality work...

  • i dont know anyone who likes or as even herd oof this band..that i think is a crime realy..but i love em

  • Has anyone here heard of this australian prog black metal band called ne obliviscaris? They're bloody brilliant. As surprising as Agalloch coming from New York

  • Lawlz aesop

  • only??

  • I'm from South Africa and there's quite a few Agalloch fans in my city. Do I get props too? ;) I need to buy this DVD!

  • Great band!!, The Agalloch sound is just beautiful...i'm counting the hours to see them tomorrow live in Bucharest-Romania with Alcest.

  • @exrunenova I have many friends to like agalloch :D

    Saludos From CHILE :D!

  • Simply one of the greatest richest and most compelling masterpieces ever to grace the metal genre. Agalloch to the end <3

  • @exrunenova your point being?

  • oh, you mean my taste, i'm into progressive metal, death metal and black metal, Opeth's my fave band and i started listening to atmospheric stuff recently

  • hehe. no la i also from singapore. wow similar taste some more. nice nice. =)

  • really difficult to find fans of agalloch, liking them requires an acquired taste

  • @CheebaiGuailan

im from singapore too and a fan of Agalloch

    cheers

  • @CheebaiGuailan i fucking love them. Strangely only have two freinds that like them too haha

  • @CheebaiGuailan couldnt agree more :D

  • @CheebaiGuailan same dude i wuz more into Melodeath nd death metal but recently i hav been more into the atmospheric stuff mainly from norway and Agalloch ofcourse. my 3 fav bands are Opeth, Death, and Agalloch

  • @CheebaiGuailan, same here. then i discovered dream theater.. nothing in music has been the same since then, lol..

  • @CheebaiGuailan opeth is sooooooooooooooo damn lame compared to Agalloch

  • Still surprises me that they are American

  • @CheebaiGuailan

another fool who knows only what they see in the media... wake the F@&K up people. ;-)

  • @CheebaiGuailan Ye, I couldn't belive that they are

  • @afoolisharrangement why are you so uptight about it? It's just an opinion. I like atmospheric and progressive metal. American metal doesn't offer a wide range of atmospheric metal and I think Europeans are better at prog than Americans.

  • @afoolisharrangement It just surprises me that an atmospheric black metal that hails from America sounds so awesome. You kinda trolled yourself there.

  • @CheebaiGuailan

Wow, that guy is a complete dunce.

  • @CheebaiGuailan no shit ! fuck .... i was sure that skandynavian ...

  • @CheebaiGuailan Location has nothing to do with anything, doesn't chemically change anything to make you a better writer.... it's silly and narrow minded to say "Oh they must be good, they are from Norway" because in all reality, there's alos a lot of shitty bands from Scandanavia (but hardly) but yes I see where your coming from in a point, most "American" bands do suck, but that is because of mainstream and all of that good shit, location has nothing to do with thought and or flesh

  • @Dimdez

Its hard to say really. I read alot of musichistory, and i think it matters from where you come from.

The climate, your friends, the mentality, laws and enviroment. All that combined will shape you as a person and your mind alone wich will create the music. Maybe its a little to deep, but i think it matters :) But its not a fact, its just a theory.

  • @turebz Yeah, but I mean like blood wise, just because you're Norwegian, or American doesn't make you a better human, you know?

  • @Dimdez

Oh, now when you put it that way i think you are right.

  • @Dimdez It's just surprising that such a good atmospheric folk metal band can emerge out of the American metal scene that is largely dominated by most generic heavy metal or thrash metal bands. That's all there is to it.

  • @Dimdez That comment was also made a year ago. I haven't heard of the Cascadian Black Metal scene that Agalloch falls into when i made that comment.

  • Godlike i have the DVD and its awesome!

  • @Wolfsherz I don't think they were corrected at all, but just brought up in the final mix.

  • This is amazing. Holy crap...

    I need this DvD.

Agalloch has to be one of the single awesomest bands ever.

  • Absolutely awesome.

And I WOULD definitely see them live, in a crowd of stinky metal heads or not. Being in the presence of such talent is worth it, let alone listening my all time favourite songs being played live.

Just fantastic, I need to get that DVD. :P

  • @Bladmapple I saw them live. In that moment, my life was complete xD

  • Pretty cool,

For me I fell in love with this band watching the one picture videos here on youtube, not to interested in seeing the band.

Also a band to listen to by yourself, not in a crowd with a bunch of stinky metalheads....

Definitly one of the best bands out there!!

    Way to rip them off.

  • I've seen them live, they're damn amazing. I can't say the same for the bands they choose to open for them.

  • On the dvd, the sound doesn't cut out like it does here.

  • Makes the place seem larger than it actually is.

  • sweet

  • Awesoooommmeeeee!
