No, you can buy the ball in stacks of 5 from the vendor. Currently bugged so that your last charge from the stack doesn't disappear but that will probably be fixed before release.

I think the reason blizzard opened up wotlk beta isn't so much for testing bugs but so people could make videos like this to get all of us hyped up... Thats also why 1/1000 people get into beta. Thats smart marketing
