  • sorry were those locos in light steam?

  • the diesel is just hitching a lift. it knows all that steam will easily get it back home

  • 'magine if all the steam locomotives went for full regulator and full forward gear.... just for the hell of it!

  • WOW Wish I had seen that surprise arrival! 5*

  • no.7000 mite be back in steam soon i think

  • @1998olie yeah it says on one of the websites that its running something this year either 30777, 71000, 70000 or somehting like that

  • Great Video, 5 Stars! would be nice to see 34027 and 80080 back in steam on on the main line!

  • i was born on that day

  • As its 1991, the 3rd rail ban hadn't officially been lifted, so they probably HAD to have the 33 on the front!

  • great video spoiled by a damm stink pot on the front tho

  • @flammabletube i hope u mean the 33 not 70000

  • @friends09ism No no way would I dis any steam loco I was refering to the damm stikpot deisel on the front

  • why have a diesel pulling them???? when you have all that steam power

  • What a really wonderfull sight...just who was pushing, who was pulling or who was piggy in the middle??? Fantastic video..thanks!!

  • A real thrill to see these 'older ladies' and they are magnificent. Will they run such as this in the future???

  • It's quite common for steam being towed in this way to be "working" occasionally, reason being to allow the mechanical lubricator to drop oil on the bearings and rods.

  • Its a Sinc Header

  • I've seen this a few times now and think it's brilliant a sight not likely to be repeated I bet a case of being in the right place at the right time.

  • I read an old issue of Steam Railway that had a picture of the five Great Western engines running as a convoy, in the dead of night, back from the 94 Old Oak Common Open Day. Wish someone had gotten video of that

  • I don't think the trams were there in 1991. Fantastic video!

  • Well don't forget to come over to my place Densworldofvideos

  • oh my god i go there everyday to school and that is so cool to know that was there

  • which one would be the thunderbird if the 33 broke down?

  • Absolutely amazing. You'll never see that at East Croydon again!

  • If that was light steam I would like to see what they would do in full cry!!!

  • i wasnt born then but that was fukin great!!

  • That's amazing, not something that would have happened even in the days of steam.

  • Absolutley Fantastic. Wish they did things like that nowadays.

  • Nein, der 'elf 'n' safety gestapo vill not be happy!

  • BLOODY BRILL

  • Wish I'd been there!!

  • That was brilliant. Thanks very much.

  • Only the standard and 777 are working...

  • So was Britaina!

  • The cylinder cocks on 70000 and the exhaust from 777 give it away, it's a case of quadruple banking of a class 33 in my book. Great video!!

  • Bloody fantastic

  • Wow! A quardruple header! (Not counting the diesel car.)

  • my god!! iv neva seen 4 steam engines like that on the mainline before, seriously its amazing!
