Man, I remember listening to this interview when it aired on WNEW on a Sunday morning in 82. I was driving from Long Island to Boston and vividly remember excerpts while on the Whitestone Bridge. Kenton was my favorite composer arranger at the time and I was impressed by Riddles honesty regarding building off others work. Thanks so much for posting. Thank you so much for posting this. Nelson is gracious, and as intellgent to hear speak as his music is. His work never sounds dated, it is still as fresh today as it was 50 years ago.

Riddle was a legend. His stuff with Sinatra was easily Sintra's best material.
