    i tried 2nd time. success making my caramel.

    u put 4 table spoon of sugar + 1 tblspn of water, i on high heat until i see the caramel turining brown & den i slowly turn down e heat..haha tho abit of burning but its ok..once it turns sticky n brown..imm put like maybe another 2-3tblspn of water ,becareful it may splash. and its done. gd luck!

  • This isn't pudding. The actual name is "flan".

    The same thing happened to me too! I left the foil on and even kept the pudding in the fridge over night and it's still a liquid. So now I stuck them in the freezer .... I guess I'll have to wait and see now !

  • I tried it..and i filled the pot with water so it was covering half the cup, but when i put all 4 in, the water rose up and seeped into my egg mixture...:( now i know for next time to remember the whole issue of volume.

    250ml milk + 5 T sugar.

  • First tried it with evaporated filled milk and it tasted really yummy. But today I tried it with evaporated creamer/milk and the pudding tastes bland. Yuck

  • @kokkikok1 i've made this many times and tested with different milks and i feel the best milk to use is whole milk, it creates a much more ricer taste. :)x

  • i've found it easier to just not put water in for the caramel. Spread the sugar around, put on medium and just wait. don't stir but shake. be careful not to burn.

  • @xHearterx She got into an accident on her bike a couple of weeks ago (At least I think it was on her bike) and had to be rushed to intensive care. Though last I heard (if you watch runnrunny999 he is good friends with CWD n chef) she was doing a lot better! I think she's out of the hospital since CWD put up a vid or 2, but am not too sure. All I know is that she is thankfully doing a lot better. I was just hoping that gets better!

  • usually we don't add egg whites, just yolk to condensed milk and sugar. egg whites will make a less creamy texture.you want a custard; not a sponge cake!

  • i think in the real recipe they use oven to bake this puding, but with steam pan, this thing become much easier for me who don't have oven in my kitchen, i've ever tried it with cover on the cup, and a lot water from steam drop in the purin (yeah it become too soft and become to watery)

  • I think the narrator use french accent in purpose so it sounds like more sophisticated ( most of the chef coming from french)
