  • quick question. how comes at 3.50 the worker is trowelling some dye onto the floor but at 4.02 when it cuts back it has none of the material on the floor, it was the same as before. and dont you clamp the boards together for the tension... seen loads of people doing it (im a plasterer ) and everyone has been slightly different. just want a nice even floor that doesnt bow or bounce....

  • yeah,,,,grade a

  • WHAT WAS THAT. HE JUST WENT SANDED THE FLOORS WITH A BELT SANDER AND EDGER WHERE WAS THE ROTTERY AND SMALL SANDER 4 THE FINE SANDING. I KNOW MY TIMBER FLOORS I BEEN DOING IT 4 10 YEARS. instulation was good considering he didnt use any clkampz

  • @shiftslam Ppie down dude, these guys are pros and you know it. Even tough I know you been doing it 4 10 years.

  • that was very professional. i just installeda solid oak floor using self adhesive underlay and the result was ok although the floor is spongy in parts because the sub floor wasn't even.

  • really impressed guys nice work ..

  • One of the best videos I've seen... don't know why but I just might get my tiled floor changed to timber!

    Thanks for posting.

  • What's the name of that liquid moisture barrier? can i find it at home depot? i need a liquid moisture barrier for my glue down wood floor, but i don't know where to find it and i don't know how it's called, i looked at home depot and i didn't find it, although i didn't ask for help to find it.

  • yeah is called mvp from the brand bostik i dunno wat part of usa you lived but i can find it in any home depot here or in a wood flooring store

  • they invented laminate floor for one time use. true hard wood floor, you can resand it 3, 6 or more, or just buff it to apply a new shinny polyurethane every other 3 years.

  • hey dude great video , can any one tell me what was the purpose of that filling and what does it do and how did the color of that timber change at the end?

    cheers

  • the green thing in usa is call moisture it does the same but is gray it comes in a 3 1/2 or 5 gallon and u apply it wit the a trowel the sell it at the home depot and dat is how u sand a hardwood floor they did a good job the only part i didnt like when he was puttin the coat why he didnt use a roller besides the brush

  • pros, Never use a paint roller on a hardwood floor to apply polyurethane. i use slum skin.

  • is a specail roller not for paint duhh

  • That green epoxy is only sold in Oceania. Which one is the equivalent product to use in USA? Tks

  • Great video and thanks for it; I hope good luck in your bussiness.

  • Solid wood is for on or above grade insallations. Not for below grade jobs.

  • yea thanks for that, this is an on grade installation and has been common trade practice here in New Zealand and Australia for over 30 years as 95% of our houses are on grade concrete slabs, this is the reason for both the diamond grinding of the concrete slab to remove any curing compounds and dirt mud plaster paint etc followed by a very good 2 pot epoxy moisture barrier, the adhesive used is a foaming adhesive to eliminate any hollow spots

  • @nounou01 nice!we do it like this in Croatia! greetings

  • Thats amazing video. I am planning to get my solid wood flooring done on my cement flooring. Is it enough to just apply the moisture barrier and lay the parquets or do i need to prepare a sub floor with ply wood?

  • Hi, you can lay the parquet blocks directly onto the applied moisture barrier, be sure to diamond grind the slab first to remove any construction debris (paint, plaster, mud/dirt and curing agents) prior to applying the moistuer barrier

  • Solid wood should never be applied below grade. On grade or above grade only.

  • Legends. Absolute legends. well done
