  • how do u know when to replace rings, and how do u know where all the rings go?

  • thanks soo much! :) <3

  • thank u!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This scares me.

  • U r God Thank U sooooooo much!!!!

  • Ok, what does one do when you have perfectly rebuilt the valve like this as per the instructions, line it up correctly..and put your a5 together and there is an air leak that seems to come out of the front? Mine used to not leak, got it used and placed new orings, I also have one of the expansion chambers on it, not sure if that is my issue..

  • THANK YOU!!!! THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL.....

  • my o ring and washer keep on popping out and i followed the video step by step and its really pissing me off because i have been doing this for about 3 hours. i really need some help on this thanks.

  • Washer measure ?

  • i have a new tippman a5 and was takeing it apart to install a new barrel adapter. and a clear o ring popped out and cant figure out where it goes...could anyone help me out

  • My gun got chop ball so I cleaned the gun and I put every thing back and when I put the tank in it started to fire or if u didn't put the tank all the way In u could hear the air leaking. Is because of the power tube or the valve. Help plz.

  • is there a 98 valve assembly cleaning and maintanence video?

  • i see wats wrong wit my tube the washer came off wen i was cleaning everything up and now tht spring is in the way of my tombstone latch thank god i held on to tht washer

  • what is the purpose of disassembling the powertube? i'm just curious because I have never done it.

  • my power tube is not coming out! what do i do?

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I was following your A5 basic maintenance instructions in your other video, and a washer and 0-ring popped out from somewhere, and i had no idea where. Then after an hour or so of pulling my hair out i came across this and realised they were the first washer/o-ring you took out on the power valve.

  • Im having troubles assembling my a5, when im putting everything back in and i push everything inside... the o ring and the washer of the valve will pop out.... its so annoying.

  • Thanks for the post. That was just what I was looking for. The manual is hard to interpret. Great job!

  • Hey nice vid for sure!

Just small question, I have to recock my gun for every shot, could this help or not related. Just wondering before I venture into it.

    thanks

  • Hi,thanks for the video it should be very helpfull. However I cant take out the the valve from the power tube, its really hard and it wont budge.I was wondering do u have a trick or do u put something to slide it out easier?I placed paintball oil on the back but it wont move,Please help, thanks

  • My rear bolt is not sliding out what should i do? there is a 1 cm gap from the end of the marker from the bolt

  • I can't get mine to stop leaking. I just put it back exactly with the washer and then the o-ring, made sure I put the tombstone in there without the o-ring falling back out. It still leaks! I got no more air to test it with now to see if it stops leaking or not. What else is there to do.

  • Thanks dude!

  • i did that and when i shoot it shoots like trrrrrrr, trrrrrrrr, trrrrrrrrr.then it stops. it that normal ?

  • you are awesome washer and o ring came out spent an hour looking at were the fuck it would go you rock thx thx thx

  • Thanks, thought it would be a pain getting the o ring back in but this made it easy.

  • i just got another A5, its been like 1 year since i sold my last one, and i never had any problems with that one, but this one, new from the box, its leaking through the barrel. not a lot but if u put ur ear up to it u can hear it. and when i use the remote coil it seems as if theres not enough air to shoot. idk whats goin on, i disassembled it, nothin seemed wrong, and reassembled it and its still doin it. i have a flatline on it, any suggestions?

  • You saved my life. I love you.

  • Thank god so helpful!!!!!!! i thought i was going to have to take it in and have it fixed

  • Thanks sooo much. the o ring and washer fell ot and i didnt know where to put them

  • Same here. Why they didn't include this in the manuel is beyond me.

  • I'm having the same problem guys, someone please help. I am installing a JCS Redhot power tube, and I followed this vid to put the internals back in, It took me an hour just to try and get the spring to cooperate and get the washer and oring back in (in that order, right?) and then when I put the gun back together the tombstone will not go in... Someone please wlak me through this? I detailed comment is appreciated! Please don't just write a sentence.. I'm stuck!

  • how i can make that on JCS power tube?

  • How do i put the power tube and the rear silver piece back in the gun? every time i do it, the washer and o rin gkeep flying off b/c pushing the silver piece in pushes the spring

  • same here

  • ya i have a leak now also i really hate tippmann who ever designed this gun was on pcp or something ever heard of a normal poppit design not this dumb ass power tube ?

  • I believe the valve o-ring is broken because I can hear a leak in my gun and I've checked every other possible location, but I can't, for the life of me, pull the damn valve out of the power tube. I'm really reefing on it but it won't budge. Any tips?

  • Kra ur da man!

  • ZOMG you saved my markers life!!! thank you man!

  • Is the washer crucial to the guns functionality?

  • Yes. It adds pressure to the tombstone to prevent a leak.

  • if i put a lighter valver spring, would that increase the velocity?

  • wow

    thanks

u just saved me a bunch of money man thanks

  • Hahaha... Bought a brand new A-5 today and while exploring it the washer and o-ring came flying off as i pulled the valve out. I figured it out on my own but huge thanks for the video it helped me verify i did the right job.

  • same thing happened to me thanks man

  • Thank you so much for this video, when I last reassembled my a5, a washer flew out of it, now I know it was out of the power tube and was able to fix it from this video, thank you.

  • great video, now all i have to do is find some more gun oil

  • Thank you so much for this video, it's just what I was looking for. I was having trouble replacing the small O-ring on the valve. I'm coming to your videos for any more maintenance instruction.

  • whenever i try to pu the rear bolt in i always pop out the valve internals does anyone have any tips on how to not do that or am i doing somthing wrong

  • do you now if the jcs powertube is any good?

  • i have it.... gives the gun a louder pop, but havent really seen any performance gain... or i prolly havent really notived cuz im listening to the sound of my gun now lol but its nice knowing u have one less plastic part in ur gun

  • I have a JCS powertube. Does the disassemble work like the stock one?

  • Should be the same.

  • make sure you get one thats has the FVA, i made the mistake of buying the one without the FVA.

  • Is the last O-ring supposed to be loose when you take it out?

  • Any of them can be loose or tight. There's quite a bit of tolerance in a TIppmann.

  • @KRASHARPSHOOTER

my powertube (where the velocity screw goes in)

feels very loose, air escapes from their with every shot from the 98 tippmann. I ordered two other ones, from tippmann parts but they seem crap because once i screw in the velocity screw, it becomes loose once again. What shall i do? Is it safe to operate?

  • thank you so much dude

somehow the oring and washer came out when i disassembled the gun. when i put them back in i couldnt get my tombstone thing in - now i know what to do - gotta disassemble the power tube first and fix that.

  • The pin in my power tube-the one that you grab with the pliers-rocks back and forth, like I can push it in...I don't think this is right because yours stays in place.

  • Mine was a little stiffer because that Valve was brand new. A little wobble is fine.

  • omg its so hard to pull it out grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • ahh when i was disassembling my a5 the oring and washer from the power tube came out and now i'm going to go fix it! thanks for the Vid

  • thanks man helped a lot now if a question ill come to u first because i was going to go to my pro shop and it would cost me a few bucks to get a new one when only the washer fell out lol

  • Ok, well I accidently popped this out so I came to this video and put it together, but I have a few pieces left. They are; some big black o-ring type thing, and a simple silver screw, but it doesn't have threads or anything. Any ideas? Thanks

  • Thanks man, its 1.51 am and while I was maintaining my A5 valve o ring came out. I wouldnt know how to fix it if I didnt watch your video!!! I play a game in 9 am so I was going to miss it! Thanks a lot again.

  • thanks

  • awesome dude! oh and btw, having large fingers makes it impossible to get back in! hahaha but i got it, thanks man!

  • im such a noob i cuted my self 3times doing this XD

  • AHAHAHA!!!! AWSOME

  • Thanks to you, I was able to fix my new A-5, I got it brand new and after around 100 shots the large valve oring got out of place, thanks to your vids I disassembled everything and replaced the oring, even not having any experience with paintball markers. Thanks again.

  • Lube up, haha, nice video man and so are the rest. Keep it up

  • Great video, but still having problems. I disassembled the power tube. I found the washer and the O ring out of place. put them together, and assembled my A-5. Shot about 15 shots, then it started to leek. is it the O ring that needs to be replaced?

  • If you put the washer in first, and then the o-ring, and it still leaks, then yes I would replace the "Valve O-ring".

  • Yes, I'm sure because the leaking stopped once I replaced it. Now I fire about 4 shots, and then the gun leaks. When I remove the tombstone, I find the replaced o ring distorted and the washer holding it has jumped forward a small bit. Any ideas?

  • Yeah same thing happended to me. All you have to do is put the washer in, and then press on the o ring and squeeze it into the place where it should sit. This will hold everything together again and stop the leaks. MAKE SURE THAT THE ORINGS IN THE RIGHT PLACE!

  • Great video! One question, my o ring was leaking (The one on the very front washer) so I replaced it. However, when I reassembled the gun and fired it (With gas), it fired 3 or 4 times, then leaked. Removing the tombstone, I found the o ring had moved and deformed. Is that something to do with the velocity screw being fully into the reciever? I didn't adjust the velocity screw directly after reassembly, I just fired straight away. Thanks!

  • That shouldn't have anything to do with the Velocity Screw. Are you sure that the o-ring was inserted correctly before you put your Tombstone in? Sometimes that o-ring will slip out when you pull the Tombstone out. Do you know for certain that it's leaking at the o-ring?

  • Hey dude thanks so much i didnt know what i was doing when i took apart my a-5 and thanks to your vids i put it back together correctly thanks so much

  • excellent video, this was clearly done and simple to follow. simple but you cleared up all my questions I had with my A5 power tube. thank you.

  • Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou the guy at uncle sames put that power tube together wrong Thankyou

  • hey i never took my valve apart, but i switched power tubes, and then i put the valve in the new power tube, and i put the gas line back in, and now the thing leaks..i put teflon tape on the threads of the gas line, but it just keeps leaking...any help?

  • First lets determine exactly where the leak is. Your Tombstone is the part that slides into the Powertube and holds your Valve in place. The Tombstone screws into your gas line. Is it leaking where the Tombstone Screws into the gas line? Is it leaking where the Tombstone slides into the Powertube? I asume the threads that you put Teflon on are where the Tombstone screws into the gas line. Is this corect? It could also be your braided hose thats leaking. Put some soapy water on the hose to check.

  • I did all this but when I put it all back in the rear bolt pushes that little pin and makes all those pieces come out which blocks the tombstone from going back in. What am I doing wrong???

  • Make sure you put the washer in first, then the o-ring. If you're having to puch the Rear Bolt really hard against your power tube to get them to slide in the back, I would loosen your case screws so that the Power Tube and Rear Bolt Slide in easy. This way your Valve pin shouldn't have a lot of pressure on it, and therefore won't fall apart.

  • Wow thanks just tried it and it went perfectly.

  • thanks! it helped me a lot assembling the internals. Also I bought the aluminum power tube and I didn't knew that I had to replace the internals to the new one.

  • Great demo, thnx!
