@wrappednkisses Makes sense to me. In Hindi, we address elders with the formal aap (equivalent of usted) and then we address God with in the tu form (same as Spanish tu). What's more, in the Urdu tradition we talk about honored dead people in the respectable second person (aap).

@OnlyWay93 yeah it is weird haha. i guess it all depends. maybe the tu form is just more personal. more like pleading in a way, like as if you're equals. the formal way is with high regards, like "your majesty" or something. maybe it depends on the meaning you want to give.
