Balto was the leader of the second to last sled team running the anti-toxin to Nome, they didn't drop off the toxin to the last team because, if I remember correctly, the team rushed by the town not seeing it because of the blizzard or something, I would have to get out the books I have on Balto.
@TheOmegaLoneWolf balto was supposed to be the second to last team, but he passed the last team, though how or why some people debate. the dog Togo did a lot more than he did, though.
For years i believed Balto was part wolf WIZARdcOn, but it turns out that was all made up crap. He was full husky, not part wolf, the movie isn't very accurate at all.
