Did you disable MDS? I'm pretty sure this drone is from the MDS being activated, I have heard that people with the LM1's with stock manifolds and predator tune with MDS disabled don't get a lot of drone.
ok, so i was going to purchase this for my car (cutlass supreme 3.1L). i have a thrush welded that drones like this and i want to bash my head on the window when it comes to long drives. whats the difference between the loudmouth 1 and 2? i want to get away from the drone. awesome video by the way.
@b13folife The LM1and LM2 are essentially the same system in the the piping is all the same. The LM1 uses resonators where the mufflers should be and the LM2 uses mufflers. I can easily turn my LM1 system into the LM2 by buying the mufflers and replacing the resonators that are on right now.
@ixxdragonflyxxi - Besides the pipe difference between the two, how does the sound compare? Is one louder then the other? I'm looking for that deep aggressive sound similiar to a CLS55 AMG with a reso delete.
I have magnaflows and they sound exactly the same when im cruising, but i love it! Nothing better than hearing that Hemi purr the whole time your driving!
@IrishChargerRT - I'm trying to decide between the magnaflow and LM. Which of the two would you say has a more deep aggressive throaty sound? Thank you.
@von32897 I have the Magnaflow Catback and I love it, especially if your in autostick you can get some real throaty notes when you go through all the gears that way. I think you would like it alot, and when you gear down you get some nice throaty response. Good luck with your choice, hope that helps! @IrishChargerRT I think it also destroys your hearing threshold but of course you won't know it until you can no longer "hear" the droning - LoL! Oh to be young again...
Ok I have a question. In a few weeks I am going to be putting the SLP LM1 system on my '05 Magnum R/T, it is all stock except for a K&N CAI, will my drone be as bad as this on the highway, this is kind of a pointless question because for me the pros outweigh the cons 10 to 1 with the SLP, I want to have a meanest sounding station wagon around, so it's looks go with the sound. But I was just wondering if the drone is really THAT BAD all the time. Thanks.
Love it.. what mid pipe are you running? Mine is o/r x with slp lm1s.. i love the drone so much that at ~72mph.. well more like 69-70mph now that i have 3.73's, I could almost fall asleep listing to it.. cruising the highway at night w windows down and no traffic is soooooo soothing lol
@psychoconker They are the Mopar mids with hi flow cats. And I too have nearly been lulled to sleep from the steady hummmm. Especially at night on an open highway..very dangerous hahah.
Im really curious how loud the drone actually is. it doesnt sound too bad from this video. Perhaps another video with the radio on a certain station to try and drown it out? In my opinion, this is the only exhaust that belongs on a hemi. It has that old car cammed engine sound. Was this video before you added the headers too?
I just installed the LM2 and I am about to put a bullet in my head from the drone...

Drone is one of the best parts of LM1... If I wanted me car to be quite at speed, I'd buy an electric or hybrid. LET ME HEAR IT!!

I could live with that, my old car was that loud inside (just not as deep). I dont really like quiet cars.

@srvguitarrulez Personally I like the drone so I'd give it a 2 or 3. Someone who can't appreciate it would give it a 12.
