My pops rode in the 70's and 80's. I remember watching him as a kid, I have followed all forms of racing all my life, and this is truly the most amazing sport I have ever seen. Dad never would let me ride though, not on 2 wheels, only 4. He said he'd be damned if he out his son in the ground over it. I love it!
What's interesting about Flat Track racing on big tracks like the 1/2 or 1 mile tracks is that the bigger the track, the faster you are going at insanely dangerous speeds but now the racers are going by so fast you can barely follow them with your eyes.
It gets to the point where you would be better off watching from inside a room with lots of TV screens and narrators so it is easier to follow. They are going too fast to follow with your eyes. They are a blur going by.
Backing one in turn one has got to be the greatest rush you will ever experience?

I saw these races a few weeks ago while the MotoGP was in town. I was blown away by these guys, they are AMAZING!!!
