  • does this really need any explaining because its a freakin lion everything that moves and loots like meat if food to them

  • THAT'S NOT REAL U S ALLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • thats a brave baby.

  • that baby thinks he's watching big screen TV -.-

  • guess lion should be in hungry

  • YEAAAH!!! NAILED IT!! I BET $2000 DOLLARS ON THE LIONESS NOT WANTING THE BABY AS AN ONTRAY AT CHILI'S AND BOOM! CAN'T FIT MY WALLET IN MY PANTS NO MORE!!

  • @tootoot1943 we are still animals just like every other species. We just think we aren't wild. And its not against human nature to build tools and use technology to our advantage. Homo sapiens are a greedy species. So its not against nature to do things other than survive

  • She just wants a baby of her own x33

  • the lion looks more like it wanted to play with the kid. and even then, if it got to the kid, playing with it would most likely kill the boy off in a few shots.

  • its tryin to play with it

  • what she say? "Play with lions," alright I'll do that.

  • Lion was hungry. Video over. Whats for lunch?

  • SHARKS DO MATH. BETTER THAN YOU GEEKING FOR JESUS. No seriously they create a maps using numbers

  • "On there level" I wouldent say so young kids just don't see threat in the same way. This lil guy dosent see massive bone crushing jaws, he just wants to hug the kitty! :D

  • I HAVE A HARD-ON FROM WATCHING THIS!!!!!!!!!

  • na they just want some baby ribs :P

  • mmmm.... nom nom nom nom babies

  • mmmmmh baby.. nomnomnomnom

  • yum yum

    nuff said

  • Eh, cat was just playing. But baby probably would have been mauled up even if just playing. What can we learn here about all this? People are bigger idiots than the animals.

  • most pointless video of all time

  • The LION.... was playing (???) with a BABY? I don't think so. The lion was trying to EAT the baby!

  • @GeekingForJesus If the Lioness was trying to eat the baby it would have been MUCH more aggressive. And do you think that the Lioness is so stupid that she didn't realize glass was in the way? People really do underestimate animals.

  • @swan467 OK, let's assume the lion was playing. It was playing by pawing and biting at a glass wall. Obviously very smart.

I don't underestimate animals, you overestimate them. They're animals. I'm pretty sure if something can't add 1 + 1, and I'm pretty sure an animal can't, then that makes it stupid.

  • @GeekingForJesus Then tell me why humans can't physically, without the aide of technology, communicate amongst themselves without any verbal speech, cannot coordinate a hunt in packs again without verbal communication, and manage to hunt and kill an animal with bare hands and/or claws (fingernails being our equivalent). Animals aren't stupid. They're survivalists. If you disagree, then try and go hunting for any sort of game without a gun (bows included).

  • @MrMaillouxB Do animals read minds? Of course an animal uses physical communication. If there's no physical (Touch, sounds, smells) communication, and they obviously can't use technology, then how do you think they communicate? They have their physical ways of communication. They don't use telepathy. As for the hunting thing, guess what. Animals also hear other animals coming and can book it before it's too late. Ever see a giraffe take notice of a hunting lion? Hmm...

  • @MrMaillouxB I think they did, think about the neanderthals... There is no evidence that they had a language, but they did organize hunts very well.

  • @HungaryHungryHitler Regardless, they aren't unintelligent, but their skills and abilities aren't seen as "smart" in our society. If it came down to a survival of the fittest scenario, then nobody would really care if we knew how to add 1+1. Our intelligence is based on "luxuries" instead of basic survival, which we honestly have no skill in whatsoever without the use of technology.

  • @MrMaillouxB I believe that Albert Einstein sums this up: "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."

  • @MrMaillouxB That's what brains and opposable thumbs are for. Using these and the tools they can make human beings have killed vastly more lions than lions have killed humans. This is why lions will run at the sight of Masai as they don't fancy ending up as a decorative pelt. We are the top predator on the planet but obviously ever pack has it's runts who never learnt to hunt.

  • @Silkie341 I disagree with the "top predator" comment, mostly because of the fact that we rely on modern technology to stay in such a position. As I like to say, guns are cheap. The brains are our "Secret Weapon," agreed, but it still doesn't make up for our dependency on tools and technology. I can accept the use of stone axes and other such tools, but the average human, not the "runt of the litter" or "pack leader," would NOT be able to kill an average lioness with only their bare hands.

  • @MrMaillouxB Obviously you haven't met any Navy SEALs.

  • @thinkhmm But that's only what we can only assume as the most elite and physical form of our species. I'm not going to judge our troops, 1. because I'm not going to make myself look like an a**, and 2. I don't know specifically how they are trained, but I wouldn't count out a lion(ess) if it ever came down to Navy SEALs vs. Lion(ess).

  • @GeekingForJesus But you do agree with my first statement right?

  • @swan467 ...Maybe. It could just be "trying" to get it, but knows it has no chance. But I don't think lionesses are too interested in playing with human children.

  • @GeekingForJesus She was probably curious. If the baby wasn't in a safe area I'm sure the Lioness would have played with it for a minute THEN ate it.

  • @swan467 I agree. I'm glad to see a reasonable conversation with someone on YouTube is possible.

  • Wish my skin was tough enough to be able to roughhouse with lions

  • @ccrimsonfox That would be friggin sa-weet!

  • ffs COMMON SENSE animal see food, animal try to eat food

It's an animal, what's so goddam shocking? it's locked in a zoo, it wants to hunt, it's a lion. -_-

  • Don't play with lions?

Well you should of told me that yesterday, I now have one arm.

  • the male lion at the lake superior zoo in duluth, minnesota does this to

  • OMFG is this really a question? It's fucking nature. You don't want to see a lion eating a baby make sure the glass is strong like this. This isn't some biblical paradise where a lion sits with a lamb. This is reality.

  • She looks more inquisitive than hungry , if baby was not in a safe area , lioness would have had a tasty snack after playing with it a while , why is this so shocking to some of you people , this is why some of our population was born with the gift of "thinking" , our brains " for most" makes us far more dangerous , but those of you expecting kitty kitty kitty to purr and want petted , think again , or don't, some of you don't anyway. It shouldn't even need an explanation.

  • @theeAlphaOne I just don't like for people to make it seem like the Lioness was just being shockingly aggressive. The Lioness looked very calm to me, I do think she was just curious but if the baby was in there she probably would of observed and played with it for a minute, then ate it. I'm just pretty sure the Lioness realized the glass was in the way and it wasn't going to happen.

  • @swan467 : My own sentiments exactly , she was very calm and curious , and certainly if baby was in there , she would have played with it for a few minutes, then ate it . I have to laugh when nature shows itself and people get so freaked out.......cheers ;-)

  • @theeAlphaOne Cheers ;)

  • No no no no, the lion wanted to eat the baby enough said

  • Dont lions also carry there cubs around in there mouths when transporting them? that might be it

  • what do you want from Lion to do ?

tries to have sex with baby ?

  • i dont blame the lion. that baby looks tasty

  • just look at the lions face, You can tell its just curious, Its got the same look as all curious animals have, The perky ears, strait eyes/face. My dog gives me the same look.

None the less its a wild animal and should be treated with respect.

  • Living in and representing the 303. Haha.

  • lion: " You little bugger, if only you were on the INSIDE! I'll teach your parents a lesson about imprisoning me behind this glass!! "

  • The guys on Nat Geo said that the Lioness was trying to eat the baby. Their analysis makes more sense.

  • I want a lion so we can sit down at dinner and demolish steaks together while watching the 'Lion King'.

  • DUDE what zoo is this? The zoo here the lions are down below in an open exhibit. I'd never get this close.

  • @Kkyyrruu the zoo was said in the vid. pay attention

  • @str8oldskool187 Aawww, someone is a real serious youtuber :]. That's cute. lmmfao

  • Probably wanted some baby back ribs.

  • 1) Lion saw baby

    2) Baby looked tasty

    3) Lion tried to take a bite

    4) Glass got in the way

There's your explanation. This video could easily have been under 10 seconds.

  • Its a lion. -.-

it dosnt take a scientist to explain this -.-

  • wasnt the baby a boy

  • Next they should explain the 2 legged horse video

    thumbs up if u agree

  • its funny when people call this cute and say they are just playing but animals allways snap on people

  • It's obvious that the lions are not feed and wanna eat that baby

  • thanks captain obvious

  • give that lion that baby !

  • D'aww, cute! It's lovely how a cat of that size could be so playful and gentle... Minus the huge fangs, of course.

  • GET IN MA BELLY!!!!

  • Baby food???

  • cccrrraaacccckkkk.......uh-oh!

  • Honestly some people like to waste money. It is trying eat him it keeps trying to bite him through the glass. SMH

  • I love how the zoo chick tries to talk it down as harmless playtime... For the predator.

  • shit, baby fearless

  • @Exedust I like to think of them as being suicidal, myself.

  • fuck, everytime I go to the Zoo, those lazy lions are just hiding, away from sight ._.

  • @nintendods45 Next time bring a baby as bait......dangle it in front of the lions and watch!

  • d'awwww

  • The lion wants to play with the baby like a house cat likes to play with birds

  • fuck

  • Just wait till the glass breaks...

  • Well send the baby in and find it your self ....

  • I want a lion as a pet Dx

  • The lion just wants a big hug!

  • i came here just cause of the flippin title

  • the lion is just trying to play with the baby, or the baby just got balls

  • curiosity killed the cat ... well that's a very big cat with veryyy biigggg curiosity :)

  • on the lion's/lioness' point of view....it's a BALL.

  • OMG its not safe to play with lions who would have thunk

  • @ljguy300 *thought*

  • @Daffy711 ty :p

  • @ljguy300 :)

  • man some people get jobs just by dumb luck I swear...

  • Playful means eating the baby whole. Mental patient zoo keeper.

  • what they didnt explain is the 44mm magnum under the baby's shirt that cant be seen... thus the confidence...

  • STOP EXPLAINING THINGS THAT DON'T NEED EXPLAINING!!! EXPLAIN SOME THINGS THAT DESPERATELY NEED ANSWERING!! **LIKE NYAN CAT!!!!**

  • -paws paws- WHAT KIND OF BLACK MAGIC IS THIS? WHAT IS THIS WALL?

  • Damn nature you scary

  • the lioness' mouth is reaaally addooorrrraaaabllleee!! :))

  • The whole point of this video is to stop you're violent wishful thinking, nature isn't the most dangerous thing in the world, we are. more babies die from our hands than eaten by a lioness.

  • @rockdeleste We are nature mate.

  • @rockdeleste your*

  • @rockdeleste I'll remember that next time I'm looking for a babysitter.

  • @rockdeleste Your retarted. We are nature, we arent anything special. We are wild animals as well.

  • @skychy You spelled "retarded" wrong..... just saying.

  • @rockdeleste That's because the lions are captive behind bars. If we let babies into an area with lions i'm sure the babies that die by human hands and babies that die by lions would be the same o __o

  • @ZhuSeth Yeah, dead. XD

FYI: I'm not saying dead babies is funny at all, just in case some random freak starts going off on me about thinking dead babies is funny. 'Cause it's not.

  • @ZhuSeth I guess they would, but if we let them free, in their NATURAL habitat, they wouldn't be so aggressive now wouldn't they? how would you feel if you were stuck in a glass box while people stare at you all day?

  • @rockdeleste Lions are predators, so I doubt that.

If I was in a glass box I'd flip people off all day and watch their reactions :D

  • @rockdeleste it's not wishful thinkful; it's being practical and reasonable.

  • @rockdeleste r u serious? STFU

  • @d3rtyd33 Yes I'm serious.

  • @rockdeleste "more babies die from our hands than eaten by a lioness." You do of course realize that for your argument to be even remotely valid we would all have to let are children interact with lionesses on a daily basis.

  • @cgrabert0 yah idk how anyone gave rocketdeleste a thumbs up

  • @cgrabert0 I'm not saying that, I just want to point out that if you do the math, yeah, more babies die because of humans

  • @rockdeleste But if babies were raised by lionesses, MUCH more would die by them -_- More people died by getting stabbed with a knife, but I think a nuclear bomb threat is much more dangerous than a knife threat...

  • i would eat the baby to if it looked like a lollypop

  • lion wants to eat baby THATS ENOUGH EXPLAINING

  • Duh! cats like to play with their food before they eat it!!!

  • omg, it's science!

  • WTF. "It doesn't look aggressive"

The lions mouth literally was trying to fit his head around it. I lol'd

  • lol if baby died.

  • "Mental note: Don't play with lions." LOL

  • It's an imprisoned lion trying figure what the fuck it'll do to that baby if he EVER had a chance to fuck that baby up.

  • too cute. This made me smile :-)

  • thanks discovery, i couldn't live without this explanation.

  • lion try to eat baby - wow this is strange and new

  • This baby may be a girl..but she has balls...

  • @TheVidNut The kid's name is Trent, and he's a boy...

  • Its a lion, what exactly needs to be explained?????? and either way theres a thick glass between the two.

  • That is a brave baby

  • The lioness displays some of the same behaviors that my puppy does.

  • I thought the lioness want's to eat her own baby..it happens most of the time with domestic cats..but this vid for me is kinda cute..different story of course if the baby is inside with the lioness..

  • I thought the lioness want's to eat her own baby..it happens most of the times with domestic cats..but this vid for me is kinda cute..different story of course if the baby is inside with the lioness..

  • Okay lets clear one thing. That baby has Balls!

  • I LOVE WHEN HUMANS LIKE TO GUESS THE ACTIONS OF ANIMALS YALL KNOW GOOD AND WELL THAT THAT FREAKIN LION WANTED SOME SWEET BABY MEAT LOL........

  • *tilts head to side* remember not to play with lions

  • PENIS

  • @FreakedFreshness Is something you don't have...

  • The lioness just wants to Nom nom nom on the babys hat

  • this... why? Make better videos gaah

  • title is kinda miss leading.. i thought the lion had a baby in her mouth or something but the baby was saved...

  • the lion was either annoyed or tryin to be playful .

  • Humans we gotta trap beautiful animals in cages for our entertainment smh

  • If that glass wasn't there that baby would be eaten.

  • its obvious its not agression if you look really :) its face had no agressive expresion you would really notice a menicing look in a lions face if it was agressive and the claws were not out but retracted :) if it was agression the lion would be far more frantic and determand i know this because it has happend to me with a few lions and leapords in thailand :)

  • maybe she wanted his amazing outfit

  • These People ARE IDIOTS!

  • the lion is challenging trent to a CUTEathon LOL 16 events to prove who is the cuter one xD

  • Pretty sure that lioness would have eaten the baby after it was done 'playing' with it.

  • I'm not so convinced that the lioness was only meaning to be playful. Could we bring that baby back, and repeat the scenario, but without the glass?

    It's for science..

  • damn....this really makes me want a lion pet :( much cooler than my cat (N)

  • cheyene mountain zoo!

  • mental note.. don't play with lions xD

  • @mahin300 , what the heck?

  • ok is this a teaser? or the explanation is on the next episode?

  • Did this really needed to be explained -.-

  • @navioner lol apparently this is a phenomenon!

  • @navioner need*

  • @navioner no it did not...

  • @navioner Apparently so

  • @navioner Yes, because uneducated humans just equate that all predators think and do when they see humans is too eat them but that's not true. Most of the time they're just curious. It's just that what they use to check out the humans are they're paws and jaws, but that doesn't mean they're purpose is make a meal our of humans

  • @navioner wow... cannot believe your grammar... It's "need"

  • @kylevangaalen seems like someone is trying to get attention :/ also its the internet doesnt matter and besides no ones perfect

  • @navioner needing attention eh... get your priorities straight... ive got better things to do than comment on here but just for you I didnt mind the extra minute it took.

  • @kylevangaalen if u got better things to do you woudnt have replyed to me on my grammer seems like someone gots no life well thats my perspective and another thing if u had way better things to do then u would have replied to my last comment nuff said

  • @navioner Have you looked at the viewer comments since you posted? ._. I don't think an explanation was the worst thing ever. Also a lot of little kids like to watch animal shows/go the zoo and really do need some things explained or they get scared.
