  • How the hell di you get 183 addware and spyware on your comp?

  • norton 360 and malware bytes's are the best ;) i think avast and avg is sucks

  • @brandon2003alt suck u

  • @TheSnake1232

    Wait wait.......Norton 360....the best?

    No no no no no,

I think you need to see a doctor kid.

Norton just like fucking Mcafee' is a SCAM.

Betcha if you ran a check with a real AV such as Avira (free) or Ad-aware, or Avast or AvG (Real antivirus software that you so sorely mistake as crap) you'd see that you more than likely have half-a dozen viruses that norton WILL NEVER catch.

  • I use Avast free I know its not %100 great. like all AV softwares arent %100 but who cares its free doing its job well and doesnt slows down my ooold PC! Thanks for the review.

  • ad-aware is a fail

  • ad aware seems to work fine for me.

  • I been using the company laptop and I been visiting dirty web sites and having nude pictures on the laptop, I may get a new laptop but I'm afraid coukld dig deep inside and find me naked, my question is: any app that will almost format

a deep recycle bin? without formating the pc

    thanks

  • ad-aware slow down your pc down and don't protect you as well as spybot search & destroy

  • adware pro is a rouge remove it it is a virus

  • what is dialer?

  • @stickmandude97 A dialer is a kind of malware which is able to contact expensive pornsites or to call expensive phone numbers

  • ad-aware removes more than adware too

  • dude my beathing is louder than you're voice

  • for some reason i cant update y is this...?connection error, check your settings. (Errorcode:-1) starnge cuz my intenet is workin but th eonly thing is its the same problem as u matt wen i surf the web all sorts of results and popusps come up? plz help me fix thiss?

  • ad adware malwarebytes and norton 360 will keep me safe. when my norton 360 license runs out i getting Comodo IS, i cant wait

  • i had Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition too but i don't think it showed me what it scanned but i wanted to download a newer version but come to find out it didn't work i tried downloading the Anniversary again and some how my computer won't let me download do you know any program that will get rid of virus's or malware?

  • when im on firefox, sometimes it will come up with a pop up that says something about emtastream and that its making firefox run slowly, is this adware?

  • dang i had no idea there was a difference between adware and malware

  • i sergust if u can still remove it reformat ur pc(if the adware fuck up ur pc )

  • "I'm still left with a FEW pieces of adware" that Comodo left behind. 183 Items is NOT a few pieces of Adware. Comodo left behind a Ton of Fake AVs and Nasty Adware. VirusHeat has been around for a long time and is so common that Comodo should have been able to detect and remove it. Comodo AV w/ Defense + is Great! Comodo AV without Defense + is Scary!!

  • Ad-Aware is so lame...

  • you should have expanded the results to see what the recommended actions were because sometimes the recommended action is to do nothing. idk why but that's what's happened to me before when i used it. your reviews are great and thinks for introducing me to superanivirus. could you do a review of just pc tools anivirus

  • want me to give out "Lavasoft Ad-Aware Pro Internet Security 2010 v8.1.2" for free??? PM me with "ProgramName" and "Yes" or "No" to ProgramC2Cracker And i will post this and many other Games and programs for Free! You want a game ?? send "GameName" with "Yes" or "No" to ProgramC2Cracker !

  • I have the paid version of Ad Aware Pro. It worked OK for a few months (even though cookies is all it seemed to ever detect) but, now, when I try to update the software, I can't. I keep getting an error message that says: "Connection Error, Check Your Settings." I've tried EVERYTHING. Uninstalling, reinstalling, Start>All Programs>LavaSoft>Update, downloading updates from the website and STILL I get the same error message whenever I try to update the software. I don't know what to do.

  • These guys haven't got their act together in 5 years. Adaware lost it's way through complacency and arrogance many years ago and have since been surpassed by the likes of SAS, MBAM, PREVX, and even A-Squared. Pathetic. The efficacy of their product is so LOW, I'm truly amazed that ANYONE still actually Pays for this Mess! Useless.

  • If you have so many Antivirus and firewalls they will block them other or go grazy use 1 Antivirus and 1 Firewall.

  • Strange, It says that you have VirusHeat, VirusRemover2008 and Ultimate Defender. But if you had those in your computer, Wouldn't they have been popping up constantly as they are Rogues?

  • btw, u need to turn off system restore, otherwise nothing will leave.

  • They're all going to conflict and crash your computer with real-time enabled. And malware now officially has a better chance to get through. I can't imagine how slow your computer must be with all those programs.

Also.. Zone Alarm + Avast doesn't go together.

  • no body gives a crap what shit you goy buddybluelakers

  • I've used Ad-aware for a long time, and I'm pretty happy with it. But I downloaded SAS(Super anti spyware), and that's ALOT better than Ad-Aware. I feel like Ad-Aware and Norton are out-of-date.. They used to be so good, etc. but nowdays they pretty much suck, and new products are showing up and they are simply much better than these products.

  • i have this along with malwarebytes, windows defender, superantispyware, avg free edition 8.5, soo am i safe?

  • You are not safe from Real-Time Rootkits and Pseudo-Rootkits. AVG Free no longer supports Rootkit Detection. They are Greedy Pigs!! You have to PAY for the full version for Rootkit Protection. Please avail yourself of Avira Free or Avast Home Edition. Both are Free AND have ADVANCED Rootkit Protection.

    Stay safe.

  • yeah but i got malwarbytes full version now and all the other stuff i told u about soo im pretty safe i think

  • You are. I for one have Avast Home Edition Free+Drive Sentry. Both Real-Time. Both Free.

Avast stops almost anything that tries to get in. What it doesn't, Drive Sentry Does. As 3rd and 4th opinions, I occasionally use SAS, MBAM, & Dr. Web. All FREE! In almost 2 years, Avast alone has NEVER let a virus/threat through. It has stopped PLENTY of stuff. I browse with confidence. I just talked to a guy using Mcafee who's bank account was EMPTIED a week after he did some online banking. YIKES!

  • @Buddybluelakers Ummm... more than 1 antivirus can conflict with one another... I would just stick with avg, malwarebytes... and MAYBE ad-aware.

  • @Buddybluelakers i prefer avast free over avg

  • what is the registration code? pls reply

  • I use Comodo, a-squared, mbam, superantispyware. im am super protected

  • im a former user of comodo but it BUGGZ me SO MUCH that i need to uninstall it and install ESET smart Security 4 with firewall/anti spyware/anti virus/anti spam filter and etc. i get my keys at nod321(DOT)com they have keys everyday so dont worry that you will run out of it i recommend ESET Smart Security 4 for everyone.. just Download the trial version at their website and your good to go put the keyssss and everything...

  • I have been watching a lot of your anti-spyware/adware videos lately and seems as though you always seem to end the video with that same redirect problem on Internet Explorer. If it happens again sometime, it would be great if you would explain what is happening and what is going on, because I used to have a redirect problem like that, that I just couldn't cure, and had to take my computer into a fix it up shop just to get rid of it., when it seems like there would be an easy fix to the problem.

  • I use avg 8.5 free edition and malwarebytes and zonealarm free firewall,is my pc secure then????

    :D

  • AVG free,is one of the most used antiviruses, but sadly not so many know, that it will NOT protect you from rootkits and many other things.I am vissiting a forum that deals with malware and remove it,and they made a index of the last 3 months computers that had been attacked.Almost 1/3 of them, had AVG free on.The retail is an okay antivirus but bloated. If you want a really good free antivirus, get Antivir free. ;)

  • matt please....i have my volume all the way up and i can arely hear

    please talk louder

  • hey watch my vid at my vids how to remove the viruses its called " malwarebytes freeware anti malware program "

  • a-squared free and malwarebytes are the best virus removal tools!

Ad-aware is just a toy who cant removed almost anything!

  • It Remove Cookies

  • I would love to see how COMODO can Prevent infection of adware etc.

  • It blocks everything, see mrizos review. The Defense+ Basically gets everything the antivirus misses. I use Defense+ But also the anti-virus for protection against worms and rogue software.

  • if you have comodo internet security what it was doing at time of infection

    SLEEPIN'

  • He put it on AFTER infection

  • you have pirated version of windows .Xd

  • ur right it does blow

  • i think that spyware terminator is better

  • HAHA! I knew it. Thank you mrizos. Someone demonstrated Ad-Aware when I was taking CET class and I knew it was fail from the start. I suppose this review of your's can help prove that. I use Avira paired with Malwarebytes personally. I had AVG a while and it did pretty well, but I found Avira better and less bulky.

  • UBER SOFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • If people would stay off porn sites , they wouldn't have to worry about any of it !!

  • guy needs porn to live, ahahahhahaha!

  • lol, thats a new one

  • ur mic blows

  • i have this but only coz i have real time protection , i have superantispyware and malwarebytes which are by far the best out there .. the person who made this said he dont know what TAI is its the threat level 1 being not much of a threat and 10 being a major threat,

  • Ad-Aware ain't that great... Malewarebyte's Anti-Malware is a lot better. I also use Spybot - Search & Destroy, which seems to work quite resonably as well. Malewarebyte's is still the winner though :)

  • Ad-Aware Anniversary (and the previous two versions) are waste of time and space on the computer. Just get antivirus with antispyware and that should be enough. Plus you can scan computer with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Superantispyware which are way much better in detection and removal of trojans, viruses spyware and rogue than Ad-Aware.

  • I totally agree with u

  • u r too quite

  • it was his sound card or microphone thats why!!

  • Matt can i have the virus link? where i get ot =D I wan iy

  • can barely hear ya.......

  • (GOOD VIDEO)... i have just put this on my pc and it found 23 win32trojandownloader.zlob.. i have been using avg & spybot thinking why did these not pick them up and looking at the comments not many pepole like adaware ..so now my head is up my ass big time...(what to do)..

  • Combo Fix

  • You was wondering what "TAI" is, "TAI" is a rating system where 1 is low and 10 is high.

I never use recommended choise i just set it to delete them all.

  • 32 meg program .. Bloat-a-ware!

  • i would not recomend using teh anniversary edition with comdo because it has real time scanning which could cause problems. For me with both installed it didn't let me open any applications. The previous version of ad-aware did work fine with it though

  • Good review Matt, as always.

  • Is it just me or is the volume way too low on this video? I can barely hear him.

  • same

  • I just downloaded this software to give it another try, never having cared for it in the past. What junk! There is no way to exclude files from the scan, and the only scan function that actually worked was quick scan. During a full scan the program would hang on an 85kb file in my Oblivion directory, which resulted in my whole computer freezing. Apart from that the application has a truly ugly interface with few scan options to choose from. Thanks but no thanks, Lavasoft.

  • dang that sucks! i think ill try malwarebytes

  • how come the sound is so low? i have all the settings cranked, and i still cant hear you

  • How is the SpywareDoctor Starter edition (free) in comparation with Ad-aware free?

  • Better use SUPERAntispyware

  • Use Superantispyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which are only scanner without real time protection, but very good scanners.

If you want to real time protection against viruses AND spyware and adware get Avira Personal free or Avast.

  • adaware is notorious for false positives and for listing tracking cookies as high risk objects, never liked it

  • how about SPYWAREBLASTER ?

  • Would be better yer

  • malware bytes is better

  • Like i say its better to got a firewall than having 0 firewall :)

  • I just had a customer today that had ad aware and she was complaining she was having a lot of web page redirections; I had her run mbam, but not too much out there that deals with that stuff ;(

  • I know u can use task manager to kill the process -- av360.exe and then you can run mbam ; but with defense wall you got total ownage of malware ;)

  • I've seen an awsome new rogue; av360 ! ;)

I just cleaned it off a friends pc, it's awsome, every 2 min. or so it displays a fake windows blue screen and then pretends to restart windows with a fake xp boot screen !! Complete with fake windows security center; and uses scare tactics by doing a fake virus scan and prompts user to enter personal info to 'buy' this malware. Very nasty crashes all antivirus' ; used defense wall to manually untrust it, then updated mbam to erase it ;)

  • Av360 is already old..

  • You have viruses and comodo!? doesnt sound right

  • Hey Matt, did your pc restarted slower after you had removed what ad-aware found? Did you see any slowdown? I think that ad-aware had false positives...

  • I like your videos, but I hate having to crank my speakers up to the maximum level and yet still can barely hear you, even a windows sound is ear piercing when I have them up that high while watching. About half of your videos the sound is fine, the other half is horrible.

  • Ah but you forgot to restart your PC after the infection removal as you were advised by Ad Aware!

I would not consider this a valid review...

  • Actually, if you would have paid attention he in fact restarted the computer. Start watching at 9:30, therefore I would not consider your comment a valid comment. If you have a problem with him starting the process of restarting the computer and then pausing the video so we don't have to watch it you should let him know, maybe he will film the entire restart for you, dumbass.

  • Again a Nice Review :D

are you also going to Review Trend Micro IS 2009?

  • really dude check ur volume levels cause if now some other sound pops up my speakers will blow

  • Hey Matt!!! Did u know there is an avg 8.5!!! Plz review it

  • Adaware has been outdated for quite a while now.

  • good but way to quiet.

  • its soo quiet the video

    \

  • Its very good of you to take the time to do all these very usefull videos so keep it up.

  • you are talking to loud

  • another perfect video by matt

  • Couldn't help but notice the "Ask" tool bar; have you ever found it to be problematic as "adware" or "spyware"?

  • yea

  • yeah, thanks matt.......ad-aware did not do what it was supposed to do

  • MBAM and Superantispyware are the best choices

    akacoppa

  • Another Excellent review. As people have pointed out already the sound was a little off but still heard it all with the volume cranked up.

I gave up on Adaware a long time ago now. I normally use KIS andf then use Hijackthis. Im amazed that adaware didnt even seem to make a dent in fixing Internet Explorer. 5*

  • Ad-Aware completely failed!!!

Besides my anti-virus, I personally use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and A-Squared Free. They find every virus, spyware, and any other malware my computer may have. :)

  • ad-ware anniversary edition= EPIC FAIL!

  • lol program failed but great video mat

  • ad-aware is pretty good, but Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is by far the best out there

  • WOW UR SMART!!!!!111111111

  • used it back in 2004-2006 and it was the same, never been a good product, waste of time

  • Ad-Aware is no longer the boss anymore, in my opinion it is now MalwareBytes that has taken the lead.

  • MalwareBytes is an awesome program, =]

  • hey matt wat are ur real pc specs

  • His real pc has 3GB of RAM i think

  • as always, ur reviews are great

  • Can you review AVG free 8.5 or AVG Internet Security 8.5 Trial?

  • might wanna get a better mic, or speak louder mate, i could barely hear you!

  • yes matt! please turn up the volume of the mic. great review though!

  • Didn't you say if the host file was infected, it would continue to redirect you now matter what? Till you deleted the file?

Or is Adaware SUPPOSE to clear that out for you?

  • ad-aware=fail...lol

    good review

  • dude go widescreen man.......

  • it's a great review and I don't think it wasted my time because it's always fun to watch your videos !

  • to see what is the recommended action, click on "recommended".

Anyway, thank you for testing Ad-Aware.

  • The sound was pretty quiet but until I turned up my wave then it sounded fine.

  • I had to put my sound to Max! Until I could hear well.

  • ad-aware is just suckish software. I would use SAS or MBAM cuz they are more effective.

    Nice video again!

    YOu rock matt!

  • I agree, thanks dude!

  • Mrizos why dont you test VBA32, XoftSpy and some other software not very known or popular on this market? (like you did with PrevX and DefenceWall)

We all know that Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D are waisting of time. People use them because they are on market for a long time and they dont know for other software.

I dont remeber that I ever sucesfully cleaned PC with Ad-Aware, SB S&D, Norton, AVG or McAfee.

  • vba32 is on my list. XoftSpy is crapware.

  • esafe, vba 32, sunbelt got may false positve

  • Adware sucks!! good vid bidaway

  • thanks!

  • Low sound.

    :(

  • sorry

  • Sound is not that loud

    but the review was great

  • thanks, sorry about the sound

  • needs to be louder matt

  • That's just bad for a program that calls it self ad-aware. I expected that it would get rid of the redirections, but it didn't. Seems ad-aware has some updates to do..

  • I know, total fail.

  • aww we for a FAIL

o well i was looking for sumthing elts to use :P

    great vid man

  • Thanks man!

  • great video

  • thanks!

  • Ad-Aware anniversary EDition sux..My frnd had it on his PC.. He though it's clean..Until i told him abt MBAM...He downloaded it and ran a scan..it found 38 Infections which Ad-Aware COuldnt Find. So I dont recommend this.

  • That's pretty common.

  • Comment removed

  • malwarebytes and superantispyware are a great combo to be sure you got everything covered.

  • yup

  • Ahhh The Video Is Very Very Low Voice Omg I had to turn it up max on my speakers

  • Need to max my laptop sound and put on earphone

  • hmm, sounds great on both my comps. I'll take a look at the mic

  • malwarebytes and superantispyware are still better.

  • for sure

  • Comment removed

  • awesome review!

  • sweet, thanks!

  • Thanks a lot you are awesome!

  • sure man

  • Hi Matt,

Did you, and if so, ever get rid of the search engine redirecting you to other sites? I'm having the same issue and I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. If it's not too much trouble.

By the way, good Video review.

    Thank you.

  • try to get Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, i got the redirecting problem and it removed it rootkits and it returned to normal. So you might want to get malwarebyte's
