  • The spiritual world captured our imaginations and comforts us, but the truth is its mythology. And it can be corrupted and used to abuse people. But anything can be misused, so, the onus is on the "believers" to not ignore reason and stay away from abusive spiritualists. That said, the mythologies are otherwise useful and comforting. I only go so far as to believe in energies and forces of nature that I can sense. I think energy responds to us.

  • It's very hard to be a Real Satanist in the USA, talk about having your Freedom taken away from you from just speaking, anyway I really enjoy your video's, and hope to see more of them, my personal opinion of Satanism is It's a free way of thinking, without what you are forced to believe in or think, besides it's all just an opinion, everyone has them, I always look at things in more then 2 ways, I don't believe everything I hear and see.

  • I find a great deal of similarity within my own and LaVeyan philosophies, but I also find that this doesn't need to mean I can't consider myself spiritual. I have great respect for how the spiritual realm affects me, and it manifests itself physically. I think it's almost always misinterpreted as being *only* spiritual. Just a thought.

  • Good video. You explained the difference fairly well. Though with no offense intended to you or any one else - As a LaVeyan Satanist, I do not believe there is a "middle" ground between theistic satanists and LaVeyan Satanist. Simply because one is Theistic, the other is Atheistic. Kinda hard to mix those philosophically. Can't believe in a 'god/devil/spirit' and not...at the same time. Just my opinion. But truly - great video!

  • LaVeyan Satanists always make fun of Theistic Satanists. If they don't agree, they should still respect each other as Satanists.

  • the satanic bible by anton lavey was the first book that introduced me to satanism and still its looks on the world intressed me also the guide of satanic rules i have taken a few from in my life for the rest i am more a spiritual practioner

so yes i agree whit you that it can be combined

    greetz

  • For me...this is the first I've heard of people who appreciate both sides of Satanism as I do...I've learned a great deal and fully appreciate the work that LaVey has done, and love his books, and I also am studying the spiritual element as well...Most people I've spoken with always seem to choose one path or the other and are very strict about it....It's good to know I am not alone in the style that I pursue my quest for knowledge...I love the video series and your site...

  • Thank you very much - I try to promote a balanced view between the physical and the spiritual, instead of favoring one side over the other

  • @VenusSatanas I tend to favor the physical over the spiritual, but really, I think they can go hand and hand.

  • Well Said and I agree \m/

  • I have a friend who practices both LaVeyan and Spiritual Satanist and combines them. Me on the other hand am just a LaVeyan/Modern Satanist. Thanks, this really helps a lot.

  • Do Spiritual Satanists believe in karma?

  • some do..

  • your camera is not good

  • yes, its just a webcam

  • You are such a sensible Satanist - a good presentation,I want to do a video on 'Satanism versus religionism' - to slightly expand on your last point re: 'problem with religion'

  • thank you Venus, this does answer my question.

  • not a bad explination

  • Thank you so much for the explanation!

  • Dont know much about satanism, but I do know that you are sexxy hot ... M , M , M

  • I like the saying, "You are your path."

    Another good video.

  • good video great way of explaning this

  • Not a bad point of view, I, being a laveyan satanist, can certainly say that I have a very physical understanding of the world, and yet, the psychological side of magic is simply an excuse in my case, I believe that the spirits I "create' exist, specifically because I feel them, if that makes any sense.

  • agreed

  • Christianity: One woman's lie about having an affair that got seriously out of hand.

  • Hah!! that is a funny interpretation

  • ^_^

  • You need to copyright that! That is the best explaination I have heard to date. Applause! Applause!

  • Mohahmmed my friend,

Its time to tell the World,

we both know it was a girl

    down in Bethlehem,

    and on that fateful day,

    she was crucified,

    she wore a chesado red

and we drank tea by her side.

  • isnt it funny that to be part of CoS you gotta pay $200? lol thats retarded if you ask me. im into demons and being spiritual about them i believe in them and somewhat worship them. i love the knowledge. :)

  • The CoS Believes that you should tax church, therefor they pay taxes. They cannot let people in for free and still be taxed. Therefor they have to have a fee. And besides, its a lifetime membership, I'm planning on joining when I am at the age.

  • CoS is just one extremity. Because, every true occult practice must include physical, psychic and spiritual obversations on man and nature. Knowledge in sience and material world should go hand by hand with spiritual knowledge, since everything in sience can be unfolded and engenderd in light of some occult teachings. Pushing just one aspect of our nature is not even worth considering for anyone involved in seeking occult knowledge. Also the other extermity is pushing just spiritual, negating phys

  • Also, I agree with Gnik- would you consider yourself a Luciferian at times? And what are your thoughts about it?

  • I would love to answer this in more detail in a vid.

short answer is no, I am a satanist.

  • I always love to hear your thoughts and ideas about the occult, satanism and philosophy- keep me posted if you make a video

  • I would love to understand your definition of a luciferian, and explain the differance, that is something I have yet to study.

  • I can't consider the LeVeyan path any kind of religion or cult. It is only a reaction. Or, more accurately, an anti-religion directed at tearing down Christian beliefs. Also, the path of Anton LeVey teaches the initiate to worship their own selves as a god and sees this satan as only a Symbol. They indulge in human and animal nature and desire. They attempt to unlearn the Christian idea that we should be ashamed of our desires and deepest wishes, and ashamed that we are sexual entities.

  • All your knowledge of the LaVeyan path is accurate, but don't you think that the world is in need of a religion (or philosophy) that encourages human nature, instead of frowning upon it?

  • BlackMetal401, I'm not quite sure why you are asking this of me. My thoughts about Levey's CoS are not disqualifying at all, and I'm sure there are many people who greatly benefit from his/it's teachings. And of course, the world (especially america) is in dire need of philosophies that teach us not to be secretive and ashamed of human nature. And there are many teachings on that subject- nineteenth century Romanticism, Jungian thought, the polyamorous movement, etc. Just know where to look ;)

  • I am a non-thestic LaVeyan satanist but most of my friends tend to be theistic satanists. Our ritual spellcasting is something to behold. I think it has something to do with the balance factor: Carnal & Spiritual. I think on a sliding scale of 0 to 10 (0=pure LaVeyan; 10=pure spiritual satanism), most people fall somewhere between 1 and 9. Great vid VenusSatanas.

  • Sound like your choosing the middle way ;-)

  • would like to hear your thoughts on Luciferianism.

  • Luciferianism is a philosophy. You could also call it Prometheanism.

Satanism shares much in common with Lucifarianism, but one must know that Satan and Lucifer are not one and the same.

Satan is not Lucifer is not Satan.

  • this was very well done. i especially liked your mention of the psychological vs spiritualism aspects in beliefs.

on the one side; by acknowledging Satan as a spiritual or (ruling) deity, you are also recognizing its polar or opposing opposite, God. whereas in the LaVeyan tradition, it is more of a mockery of the man made (i.e. psychological) creation of Satan, God, and religion. both hold high regard for the self, pleasure, and free will; but for very different reasons.

  • Can you be a Lavean Satanist without being a social darwinist?

  • If you buy or sell goods and use the monetary formula dictated by those who go unseen, then you are a satanist. You may as well learn the language of those who hold you in their talon. History=Numerology, Reality=Geometry. The fractal path is a well worn one.

  • Definately more cult than occult. A cult is defined as a group of people who hold a similar belief or ideal that is outside of the beliefs of mainstream society. To be occult, they would have to deal in secret teachings, or teachings not available to people outside of the group. and yes the baph is an occult symbol, but as the laveyan may see it, the baph is only a symbol of all that characterizes satan. its also a registered trademark ~

  • ie. its not a magical symbol, it is metaphoric and psychological, representing the physical over the spiritual...(among other things)

  • Interesting video. Yes, I agree there are a number of difference in spiritual and LeVeyan Satanism. LeVeyan Satanists are just plain depressing.

  • thats untrue. i just have a more pysical belief. i too have a spiritual view on Satanism. i am a LaVeyan, but that does not negate the spirituality of my belief

  • Do you read Nietzsche?

  • not really, no
