Playing this song tonight at my concert. In our music, at the part where the plucking starts, our tempo goes slower than goes back to normal when the arco starts again. I dunno though.. And also, at the end, we don't hold that note, we just make it sound all dramatic by just bowing it super fast and lifting off quickly. Sounds rather cool. Couldn't really hear the bass in thisD: I mean, we're the most important!!

Everyone has to start from somewhere and just because you have heard some pretty crappy high school orchestras doesn't mean that all school orchestras "kill" the song. And to tmack1337, obviously you wasted your high school years since your classmates didn't play things "perfectly".
