3) As Solicitor General, sabotaging the defense of our federal marriage

He makes one good point about alleged hypocrisy by Kagan, but he was exaggerating a lot (i.e. the military are "second class citizens" under Kagan).

Moreover, just having 5 conservative justices on the Supreme Court has resulted in corporations being able to donate freely to political campaigns, essentially buying elections and allowing guns to be freely purchased in dangerous cities. The need for liberals and moderates to control the Court outweighs Kagan's character flaws.

Most people who are going to college know if they want to join the military already. I would think this is even more true among Harvard students.
