As the level starts, throw a grenade to stay on the pelican, and when it crashes, get out and keep walking until you see him.

@Rocketromano343 - You dont need a Pelican. I've been to that guy who's all alone on top of the hills, simply by jumping up there. When you get to the opeing to go underground into the facility, instead, jump onto the wall to your right. It's difficult for people who think and react slowly, but I've done it many many times.

On the one with the Marine on 343 GS if you keep walking until you get to the building that your supposed to go to (but stay out of the map until you get there)when you jump into the builing you'll see floating assault rifles shooting with no one there.

For some reason, that human combat form was sided with the covenant, so it will be shot at by other Flood and infection forms will infect it.
