Thanks for the hard work removing these nets and pots. We lost a gillnet just South of Point Roberts, right against the reef floodline in about 60 feet of water when the tide pulled our boat onto the reef during a storm in 1986.
We had no way to recover the net once it snagged ,and had to cut it free to keep from being capsized ourselves. I always hoped someday that net would get recovered, knowing the continuous catch it could be doing for so many years.
