@MrDeerslayer25 Me two im not the best but i already called in a tom last year with how the guy said get the gobbler fired up and shut down but i put in a cuple cuts only like 4 cuts and he came screaming out acrossed the feild at me.
I thought this was pretty good. I just picked up my first mouth calls today because I lost another Tom because he saw me moving my hand on the box call.
this was a big help...!! iv been hunting this gobbler all season and he would always be in a different spot every morning and he would gobble alot but he will never come to me.. i will try this in the morning but i have good confidence in this.. thnx so much
Onehotshadow I use mouth call and they seem to work better than slate or box but somtimes box works better than slate or mouth but on calm days slate works good but I prefer mouth
I totally disagree 891.. Mouth calls are subject to many unnatural sounds and habits that the "hunter" may feel works. A great slate cannot be beat, but practice is the key. Obviously studying the bird is the most important, but an early riser takes the bird! U call that bad boy out of the roost and its on! Later... great video though... my take away was how you pointed away.. Good point and I never thought about that.
I was struggling with my mouth call but this video worked for me!! Very well explained!! I was close to distroying my diaphragm in fustration but watched this video just in time!!
