  • You will not be able to cure the fin rot until you get him in proper water conditions. 90% of fin rot cases are due to water conditions, some are just stubborn strands from previous fin rot like my fish. He needs at least 20 gallons with a filter and it needs to be cycled before moving him in. In the meantime, medications will slow the rot down and event stunt the rot progress, however you will not be able to get rid of it in a small bowl

  • Get rid of the bowl. Get a 40 gallon aquarium, filters that move 240 gallons per hour and that is just for the goldfish. You need a separt and well planted aquarium for the remainder of your fish again about 40 gallons.
