  • 0:40 that made you elite

  • Good.....But can you use them in real combat?

  • noob!

  • very well

  • Nunchaku, not nunchuck. Can you do a wrist roll?

  • LOL!

  • Dude.. i think your ready for your first grading...

  • No disrespect, but why is it that the master is usually old......or fat?

  • i could sooooooooooo do better then that (not!) ;) pretty awesome job man

  • and he's only a white belt? wonder what its gonna be like when hes black?

  • Fag

  • I can do better!!!

  • is soft nunchaku?

    looks cool~!!!

  • chuck norris

  • Thats the idea anyway. :)

  • not chuck norris. nun chuck norris :D. id give anything to have nun chuk lessons with you

  • if only you could've trained with the "real master" like Norris did! ^_^

    skillz...

  • pretty decent, but i would suggest using more complicated moves with your left,

maybe seeing as most of it isnt strictly combat you could throw in some wrist spins or aerials, or just some massive strikes,

    just a suggestion ;)

  • I agree with Chez. The doubles look pretty cool (and I'm not much of a doubles person over here), but I think it would look more killer with a stronger left hand integration and some body movement. Great work dude.

  • I watched videos by both of you, and you both have some very nice moves that are great for show. My moves are geared more for fighting- I'm not as much into the show. Sometimes I wish I was, it might make for more exciting video. :)

  • Nice but

    1) you have criticised people who twirl nunchaku without a practical fighting application yet much of what you do is exactly that e.g. when you '1-2-3' strike you are not starting the movement from your hips nor are you following through with your torso. I would say that you probably haven't studied martial arts formally at all. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just admit that you're a freestyler and perhaps drop the half gi and the "Nunchuck Master" title.

  • Thanks, I appreciate any comments - it helps us grow. I wanted to reply to some of them: I have no formal training - I've been doing them since I was a teen. The title seemed right for the website. But dont underestimate the fighting abilities- Im using 2 in this video, relaxed, playing around w-foams. But when I use 1 or 2 wooden chucks, its a completely different & aggressive style- geared towards fighting. I need to make another video. Nice video of you as well by the way.

  • hahaha whoa :) a close call 0:38

  • Close but ok - just gotta know where to put those bad boys! (the chucks) lol

  • crazy skills :) 5/5 gone to my favs

  • nice doubles!

  • o men !!!! you are a real master ..but that nunchakus...man they sound horrible!!!! dont use dinosaur chucks...sounds to much xD

  • Pretty cool, though it looks like if there had been no padding on there you may have done more damage to your ribs and arms then to any potential enemy.

Which brings me to my next point, I've never seen the potential use of a nunchuck as a weapon, other then being used as a particularly odd mace. I'm not saying there is none, I just don't know what it is

  • You're right, its easy to beat yourself black & blue if you dont really know what your doing- and I did that regularly 27 years ago when I first started at 15. lol Now if I hit myself with professional chucks it doesnt hurt that much. Nunchucks probably wouldnt be my 1st choice of weapon in a fight, but they can be useful to a skilled person. The problem is that you have to be close to your enemy to strike- but they can do some damage once you do!

  • Yeah pretty good, i don't think it is quite Nunchuck Master as there are some great other people out there. I hate Foam chucks they behave almost completely different to the real thing. Don't take this as a criticism though, you are good at using them.

  • No problem, no criticism taken - but please know that I also use regular & professional chucks as well, I just made this video for fun with the foams.

  • bruce lee was the nuckchuck mast and always will be

    but your purdy good

  • Gee... tanks lol

  • you are fast as shit but you would get alot better if you used un padded ones cuz thin when you hit yourself it would hurt and then it would teach yourself not to hit yourself

  • I see you havent read through much of this thread... I do use professional chucks and have since I was 15 (42 now). I can let either one hit me, wood or foams and I'm used to it - but I can also not let them hit me. :)

  • nice, thats how nunchucks should be used rather than for most of the showoff spin crap on the rest of you tube. awesome.

  • Thanks!

  • i like it. it has a certain agressiveness about it.

  • Great back and forth responses...funny. And sooo sensitive. I personally like the few moves where their is two independent chuck actions. Nice. The burly chest and chest hair add to the effect :)...hayeeeya!

  • hmmm... not sure how to respond to this one.. lol but thanks bro.

  • amatuer using foam nunchucks increase your skill by using real ones and add some spins in aswell instead of holding one continuios flayle

  • Listen up junior- 1> I was using chucks before you were in diapers. 2> I do use professional chucks - these foams were for goofing off in this video as I stated in previous threads you didnt read. Ill make a professional video soon. 3> You dropped your chucks in your video - smoking pot can cause that. Dont get me wrong, this isnt a hate thing - you do have some good basic skill. My moves are more for combat - the skills your showing look cool, but wont win any street fights.

  • Very cool bro..I just started doubles and can use whatever inspirations I can get.. Singles are more my forte. Thanks for the inspiration, I like how independently both arms move.

  • Thanks! I watched your video also - nicely done my friend - you have some good moves in there! Using two chucks isnt too much different, it just take twice the concentration. Post another vid when you get comfortable using 2 chucks - I'd like to see it.

  • WOW! I practice chucks myself, and I'm also able to do all the stuff you just did, and damn... took me a while to get down the moves with 2 chucks instead of 1! But holy ball crap you're fast! :P

If you can honestly tell me that you haven't speed this up, just by a little nudge, then holy crap you've got some skill dude! :D

  • Thanks my friend! Nope - not sped up, even a nudge. :) I've been doing them since I was 15 (42 now) and beat myself black & blue in the beginning. I'm moving on to swords now (beginner) but may post a video in the near future when I get more proficient.

  • Nice! Ah, yeah.... the old times... Damn I wrecked my elbows... :)

Do you have other kind of chucks too? Those foam ones are kinda wierd... :P

  • Nobody likes my foam chucks for some reason... lol But I was really just goofing off for this video - I have several pairs of wood & professional chucks that I use also. Everyone's been asking for another video, so I may post one soon. Watch the elbows! :)

  • Yeah... I'll do that... >_>

    Lol.. :)

But if you upload another vid, try using your other chucks! I'd like to see em' in action! xD

  • First of all, a true martial artist would appreciate the skill and the time used to do all that. It isn't as easier as it looks, even though he is goofing off, it actually is alot of effort and alot of focus and concentration to do this. Just can't wait to see more of what this guy has for us to see :) Thank you cmeforyou

  • Thanks so much Coby - I read your bio and you seem like a very beautiful person inside & out - kudos! I also like to hear it when someone can truly appreciate what goes into learning marshal arts. Your right - it's not an easy thing to learn! It started out as a "fighting" technique, which is what I originally learned to do -- so I may not typically do all the "tricks" that others do. Tricks are great for show, but they won't always help you win in combat...

  • how r u a master when u're using those light weight or training nunchucks and u're wearing a white belt i though master wears black belt

    P.S. u're just swing it around i don't c no tricks

  • Silly rabbit... tricks are for kids. (sorry, couldnt resist!)

  • try using wood nunchukus, 4x heavier that those fome covered ones, and its a good experierence!

  • Thanks, but I use wood chucks all the time and have several professional pair. The foams in this video were just for goofing off. I didn't make this video to be serious - but I'll make one soon. :)

  • looks unnatural, you video edited to speed it up just a tad didnt u?

  • If I said no, would you believe me? lol But seriously - look at the video (for real) look at me walking & moving - does it really look like its been sped up?

  • why no wrist spins?

  • Oops, I'll try to put some in on the next video...

  • geee's he looks pretty bloody good to me guys!!

  • Thanks! See Nevets032, somebody likes it. lol

  • pretty crappy anyone can swing those foam chucks around dunno who ur trying to impress with that karate uniform speciali wen u got a white belt could just done that in jeans and t shirt get sum real weapons and make a video and ill give u sum credit wen its due

  • First off - I dont see any videos that you've done... 2nd - I do use real weapons, just goofing off in this video, it wasnt planned. 3rd - don't let the "white belt" fool you... Last - dont really need your credit, do I?

  • This looks like the same thing Bruce Lee did in that movie Way of the Dragon.

  • Thanks - its no coincidence, I studied his techniques for years- that may be why it looks similar.

  • Awesome speed, looks like a lot of power as well, i think you should try protecting your center a little more. Just some advice, im not a master or anything just a noob with some insight i guess

  • not bad, but looks a little sloppy

  • What did you find sloppy about it?

  • i agree it seems quite sloppy, ill explain myself >.>, the moves and speed are good, but if you wacth carefully, your center line is too unprotected, and the left hand is always away (when both hands are working) , for a display its really ok, but if it was for battle it would be stoppable (this is just for you to work on it, i gotta say my left hand has the same problem ^^U)

  • Thanks for the imput. This was just for display purposes, but if you notice when I turn to the side, the center is fairly protected. It would have been moreso if this were a battle. Thanks again* :)

  • good men!1

    see my videos to!!

    see ya!

  • Thanks- saw your videos as well - pretty good!

  • i'd advise you slow down slightly.

good moves, but the control wasn't really that good. Just slow it down a bit. put on some laid back music and swing.

    more importantly, enjoy yourself!

  • Control wasn't that good...?? Are you sure you're watching the same video? Maybe you should take another look...

  • I do agree with you about the music though - I'll put some in on the next video.

  • yea at 0:39 u do a move called the squatting dog, that's whats funny.

  • Cool, just happy to entertain* lol

  • this was a comedy right?

  • Why, did something look funny?

  • Wow mate, good thing they're foam yeah? lol, keep workin at it though. I know I hit myself tons of times with weapons before I got the hang of em. Too bad mine werent foam though <:-\

  • Thanks... but I'm not exactly new to nunchucks - I've been using them since I was 15 and I'm now 40. I was just playing around with the foam chucks one day & decided to make this video & post it. I normally use hardwood professional chucks.

  • ure ment to hit ureself

  • cool but looks like you hit yourself a couple times. i can tell in your eyes

  • Well, if you look closely, you can tell I'm constantly hitting myself... lol But it doesnt hurt, I used simply foam chucks for this video.

  • i dont like your position while you are using it, but it might be because of the space however the movements is very fast and direct keep working in the movements.

  • You're right, I was a little confined - this video was done in my house downstairs in the den and the ceiling was just above my head so I couldnt really move around as freely as I would have liked. Maybe the next video should be outdoors?

  • sounds good cant wait to see it

  • Stylish and fast. Very good idea to use 2 different colours on chucks. It makes us able to see what actually happens

  • Thanks. I thought it might make it a little easier to see whats going on. The ones I'm using here are foam practice chucks- the professional ones I use are silver or black hardwood.

  • very fast!! but not original; you should check out freestyles in europe, only bruce-lee copies on youtube so far

  • Thanks- different cultures have their own style, so you're likely to find a lot of Bruce copies here. Not a bad thing actually, seeing I'm one of them.

  • To add another comment - hand & finger rolls, thumb rools, and shoulder throws are fantastic for show - but they dont work in combat. So originality would depend on which situation your talking about.

  • good stuff, not sure about the chucks though

  • Thanks- enjoyed your videos as well. I used practice chucks in this video, but have several pairs of professional ones as well.
