This is the worst converted game ever. I wonder why the hell did Rockstar do that as the fact GTA belongs to PC platform, not console. They should do it for consoles later on, well yeah I know. Its all about money. Overclocking the CPU wont help you a lot. Rather buy a QuadCore CPU and a VideoCard with at least 1GB memory. ATI 4870, 4870x2 or nvidia 260,280 or 295GTX should bring you the best experience and highest quality Consolers would only dream about. Remember, dualcores not at all for this

i agree with you except 4 the dualcore part. iv got the e8400 with a 9800 GT 1GB, i45 motherboard and 4 GB ram and im running GTA4 on full.

possible with your system. if you would like to use SLi or Crossfire C2D wouldnt be enough for these graphics. As far as I know the game is a nut @ full distance.

Its a good game, but one or two things are unrealistic. Like when you start shooting why would people abandon their cars and try to escape on foot? Surely they are less likely to get hit if they just drive away?

Not in all cases. You're probably going to end up going nowhere on a crowded street, bridge or highway.

But you would get better cover from inside a car if someone is shooting wildly. When you're in a car only your upper body is exposed to gunfire, when you're running around you're a much bigger target.

Car doors aren't bulletproof; you're just as likely to get shot anywhere and even if anyone wants to help you out, they're going to have to get into your car and drag you out first.

More importantly, there are much better cover pieces to run to: why sit there with your head sticking up when you can make a couple of turns down an alley or duck into a building? Driving away might work on a deserted (ideally rural) road because you aren't going to hit traffic or other people trying to escape.

I guess. But if you shoot at a car you're unlikely to directly hit the individual(s) inside. Your bullet will invariably pierece the car and hit the engine or the seats.
