  • great sound whats the pedal,s amp ect

  • @50MOLE It was just a preset from my V-Amp2 modeller. Nothing fancy, really. Thanks for commenting!

  • Nice pink sweater. You look pretty.

  • Very good nice laid back blues well played all guitars sound good

  • soo good

  • nice!

  • I like the fender.

  • @PhantomCover its a les paul smart one

  • improvising. for me as a beginner this themes to be impossible. i just learned the am pentatonic and now im trying to make progress... but its sooooooooo ultra hard. im playin for a year now and can not play one thing. and im training every day and learned the complete theoretical background. its such a pitty!

  • @roylandyard

Once you get the scales down, it's easy. You don't have to think about where your fingers are going, so you can focus on the music and really feel it. Keep at it, practice, and eventually improvising will come naturally. And believe me, it's one of the most rewarding things ever when you get it down pat.

  • WTF are you talken about im not stealing licks off you :D

  • its good, but not worth tabbing dude

  • tabs?

  • Hey....its ok for guys to wear pink now! And there is always shock value!....the vid is very cool...good job! I have to vote for the strat, since I have 2 of them, would like to hear a tele next time, its amazing how these vids can influence guitar buyers...keep up the good work...poppa

  • for this particular tune, i put my money on the Aria lady.

  • love it!

  • pfffffffffff nice! 0.0

  • maybe its just me but i really enjoyed the tone and the playing during the aria section the most! great job on all takes, love the jazzy octave melodies

  • whoa

  • Does this remind anyone else of Santana?

  • epiphone wins; i want one.

  • Epi.....no contest...

  • What color is your sweater?

  • @1971SuperLead

    Pink. Can't you see?

  • @nicolhaidi Thank you for bringing me back to this video. This guy plays some tasty licks. But the sweater.....I'm going to imagine it as Coral.

  • @1971SuperLead it's pink actually.

  • @raulin How about Salmon?

  • @1971SuperLead let's say pinkmon

  • @raulin What does wearing pink feel like?

  • @1971SuperLead Like everyday is pinkmas.... or pinkmonmas, for that matter.

  • @raulin I suppose it would be very hard to be sad while wearing pink. Maybe I will shop for a pink shirt.....or even a hot pink sweater.

  • @1971SuperLead Well, you can't have the blues wearing pink, but you could have the pinks wearing blue.

  • @raulin I really like the tone you are getting here. Is that more the guitar or the V-Amp2?

  • @1971SuperLead I'd say it's more the V-Amp2 than the guitar(s). I don't own the V-Amp2 anymore, but I was able to get some usable tones from it. A nice little piece of gear. Thanks for commenting!

  • Shit dude!!! That was tasty!!!

  • Oh, hell yeah!!! :D)

  • great playing, i love your tone. your phrasing is very melodic.

  • ohh the strat is a dirty dirty girl!!!

  • that was very cool! thnx for posting :)

  • dynamics need a little work dude... as do mine. some really nice voicing though... thumbs up my man.

  • Piękne...jak tu nie kochać bluesa...

  • @wiolar77 Dziękuję bardzo!

  • holy shit, guitar without strings on it!!!

  • For Me

    Number 1 : Fender strat

    Number 2 : Epiphone LP

    Number3: Aria

  • vote if the les paul ownes

  • what chords are played in the jam track?

  • does the jam track always play the A minor chord? haha..im curious..

  • @weaponx29 you're right, you're a curious subject, someone should study your case.

  • @weaponx29

    Most definitely not.

  • @weaponx29 Most of time it doesn't. Usually it's a I IV V progression

  • @weaponx29 It starts with a minor ( I think ), of course it does not always play the a minor chord, it's a standard blues chord progression I think. I'm not that into theory though.

  • Exelent :D

  • Guitar comparison demos are usually pretty poor, but this is excellent, giving plenty of time to listen and watch. Great stuff.

  • God damn, that is such a sexy guitar..

  • Never understood why people compare Les Pauls/Gibsons with strats...

I can honestly say, I love 'em both. Both got a beautifully unique sound, useful for different times :)

  • soft porn music !!

  • @neriovai

You STINK! Your mind is dirt, your soul is crying!

  • Comment removed

  • @neriovai lol fuck you man!

  • @neriovai So I realize you must be a connoisseur.

  • @raulin like everyone else XD

  • @raulin only the better porn has this type of track. Top tunes!

  • @neriovai spot on!!

  • is it me or do some scales speak to you more than others i notice when i play blues g minor and a minor are my fave to play in

  • I'm no were near as good as this guy but, can any of you guys check my blues improvisation out I really want some good advice and feedback, much appreciated.

  • It sounds like he's using a harmonic minor and possibly a (jazz) melodic minor too. Great video.

  • NIce and fluent playing! what scales are u using apart from a minor pentatonic?

  • i could def hear some santana in your playing style.. regardless very nice mann.

  • great playing! im curious as to what guitarists influence you? i was sensing a little rory gallagher.

  • i'll go for the epi, sounds better. the strat second.

  • i gotta agree with Squal537 u rly were more confident with ur strat

  • sounds like santana a little bit...nice

  • I like how u bend the note, while picking the other up notes muted! I usually do that too, but with your tone it sounds much better!

  • nice what key roots did you use for the a minor solo?

  • If I had to listen to this all day I would pick the Les Paul.

  • awesome! very tasteful

  • I used to have a Fernandes strat back in 1992 I never should have sold it.

  • Hola,

Eres de madrid? Muy buena lo que tocas. Tocas con un grupo?

  • Great meeting you on YouTube. Keep on jammin' them blues, it's music to my ears

  • That's a great tune. It sounds a lot like "Summer Time"

  • Hi there I like the of the Les paul 1st then the aria fa-80 then the fernandes I thought I would have liked the fernandes 1st but the paul sounded best for me thanks real cool..

  • Average

  • Great playng and feeling!Where can i find the backing track?

  • Very smooth soulful playing man

  • That's right. If you use effects, there is little difference in the sound. play them clean to really see the tonal differences they have. But, they're all sweet in their own right...

  • Effects can be applied anytime. The way you play guitar is what is special. ô¿ô

  • can you send me some info on your v-amp preset ? :)

  • not so much about the effects, is the kind of guitar he's playing

  • I would like to know what effects do you use? I am new guitar player and I love this sound

  • very slight gain on the amp, as well as quite a bit of reverb, play around with it. he has his guitar in the rythm position, so no treble pickup.

  • Sounds like he has some reverb on, and a little overdrive/distortion... rest is probably half way, nothing too fancy. If you're not getting the right sound, play around with your guitar pickups and tone control

  • The Gibson and the FA-80 sounded pretty similar in tone, the only noticeable difference was the thinner sound of the FA-80.

The strat had the most personality in this song... all were great guitars though!

  • what's the difference between blues in a and blues in a minor?

  • A is a major (happy) sound. A minor is a sadder sound

  • @123argaet omg its a minor scale dude...

  • @TheFuseBoxxx That's exactly what I said!! I was talking to "outofideasfukit".. the comment above mine!! Hello?

  • @TheFuseBoxxx

That's exactly what I said!! I was talking to "outofideasfukit".. the comment above mine!! He asked what the difference between blues in A, or blues in A minor.. Read before you talk crap.

  • Dude this is fucking sick what artist is this or is this your song?

and what AMP DID YOU USE?

  • Les Paul: Amazing sound. I love what your playing in that a scale. Anything sounds good playing with the tone of that guitar, what amp are you using? wizard ? doesnt sound like a marshall. Great improv its not over ovally difficult but its a beauty. Very clapton

  • Strat

  • im 16 and im thinking about moving to memphis when i graduate to play blues for the rest of my life, i mainly use my fender penvey standard should i buy a new guitar before i graduate and if yes then wat kind?

  • buy your self a schecter blackjack c-1

  • How would you afford to do that

  • I heard "Summertime at the beginning."

  • The Les Paul wins hands down!!

  • Strats are half the price though

  • cool music

  • what`s guitar is the second?

  • I thought is might be a Gretsch

  • hey everybody! come watch the b minor blues jam on my channel and comment, rate and enjoy!

  • I definitely preferred the thicker tone from the Les Paul.

  • Epiphone Les Paul

  • beautifull. fender strat in my opinion.

  • gotta love the a-minor pentatonic blues scale

  • i have the v amp2,where did you connect it to the pc to record?line in?the sound quality in my pc drops to -20 when i do that

  • Wow Great Leads!!!

  • Can anyone help me with thebacking tracks or similar? Will buy.

  • you can look up a program called mixcraft, it's really easy to use and helpful.

  • yeah i have mixcraft, pretty awesome - exactly like garage band

  • i love that fat warm tone outta that epiphone

  • man that much tallent it all sounds good

  • Are the backing tracks your own? If not, where did you find em? Thanks :P

  • Les Paul is the Winner for me =)

The tone was smooth, kinda Gary Moore-esque, not as much gain obviously

The track and progression has a definate Santana feel, Latin, with some Bluesy Rock

  • Comment removed

  • I can work with strats but I feel the best on Teles, Gretches (mainly the Pro Jet series), and LPs

personally I love the tone of LPs the most but if I had to switch mine i'd go for a Gretch/nicely made strat.

    What amp do you use?

  • You seem most confortable on your strat.

  • Exactly! I'm definitely a strat/tele guy.

  • @raulin i gotta agree with squal u rly were confident but u stiil play rly well with the three guitars

  • @Squal537 i gotta agree with u he rly was confident

  • great job bro smooth I wish I could play like that it makes me want to practice

  • i like the les paul sound more in this one =) sounds more peaceful. tele is good for some happy country music or stuff like that. if you wanna sound melancholic, go for les paul!

  • Does anyone know the chord progression behind the solo?

  • Sorry for spamming comments...

At first I always preferred the 'Les Paul' sound... but after studying and playing myself, I can't help but adore both Les Pauls and Strats. They both have such damn nice tones :D

  • I heard the first 3 notes... and I loved it.

    You totally rock. :)

    Thanks a lot.

  • Amazing player! My fav in this video is with the Les Paul - I can't believe that is an epiphone - did you swap the pick ups?

    -R

  • i just closed my eyes and got lost in the blues great vid great playing.

  • blues and jazzy...like it

  • The fernandes understand what you are, and the another guitars not. But not so beautyful sound like the Epiphone or the Aria.

  • The fernandes are not the most beautyful sound, but the most expressive of the guitars you are playing. (sorry for the poor english)

  • what makes this guitarist sound so nice is his flawless modal technique. he knows the chords hes playing over and the parts of the scale that they chorrespond to. i also like the way he has a nice blend of techniques, bending, chording the diatonics, sliding, alternate picking, and sustain. very nice.

  • where did you get the backing track for this? it is really nice - excellent feeling and play here

  • Very nice playing! And a nice comparison. Great tone. Tasty, unrushed lines: sophisticated w/o being overly-thought out.

  • For my money the Les Paul wins by a short head. What do you think?

  • you play a minor scale, yes??

  • They always do, dont they? Even if the scale is C-major, they will play A-minor scale.

Someone, pls correct me if i'm wrong..

  • A minor is the relative scale to C Major. Ever major scale has its relative minor scale. To simplify it for you a minor and c major are the same scale - no sharps, no flats. One starts on C and the other starts on A. Email me if you need help getting this fretboard figured out!

    -R

  • Well there's relatives.... yea same is right down there so basically the relative of c maj is a minor, so i guess you could say it sound's better to the ear.

  • Very Very Good. Great sound and Feel! Cheers!

  • very nice!great tones..

could you please tell me where can i find the backing track?

  • i forgot to say: great playing!

  • i have an aria fa-80. a great sounding guitar from es-175 to gretsch. also great to play. since i have that baby, it's my main e-guitar.

  • i love the vibrato on the bends, but you seem to have the habit of sometimes using a "classical" vibrato (you know, moving you finger horizontally) and sometimes, using vibrato thats normal for electric, moving up and down

it sounds to me you have to get rid of that classical vibrato, it just doesnt sound right in my ears......

  • Some great playing, nice tone.. Tasty.

Actually, I´m going to buy FA-80 these days..

(it was very SLIGHTLY out of tune here, nevermind :))

  • very good, in your song you can listen how different the Guitars sound, very amazing

  • Sounds like summertime by Gershwin.

  • very nice playing.

  • Came back for a second listen. Yep. Really great restrained and tasteful A-minor blues playing. I wonder how G-major would sound over the same chords?

  • btw nice pull :D

  • how much is that gorgeous epiphone?

    dude you play amazing

  • I forgot 2 add something on @ the end. u sound like Carlos Santana in this vid

  • Woah mate, AMAZING tone!!!

  • what he said!

  • Soulful stuff dude. Sweet as a nut.

  • Good playin man,

    Peace '

    Steve

  • id fuck my wife to this

  • Why not 'i'd make love' instead?

  • oh i am sorry for my profanity sir, but youve got some groovy tones goin on man . so let me rephrase, id make love to my wife to this..

  • Many thanks, buckfush16, I really appreciate your kind comment!

  • no problem :D keep on keepin on

  • work on you vibrato mate, too fast

  • I'll follow your advice. Thanks for your comment!

  • The Aria's lower E string sounded like a base string. It looked like it took an effort too just get a sound out of the thing

  • Veri poor tone and sustain on the aria. Les paul no.1

  • To be honest, this is not the appropriate musical context for the Aria. It's poorer sustain but chimey tone when clean played makes it perfect for rockabilly or jazz though.

    Thanks for the comment

  • Eppi = No. 1 (warmer and fatter. Much the best)

Fernandes = No. 2 (more cut, but a bit clinical)

Aria = No. 3 (poor sustain, no character, looks like it took more work to get a sound out of it)

Great Minor Blues however! And a really valid comparison too. Thanks

  • Fernandes sound nicer than the epiphone
