Last time I checked Nebraska is fine, thank you, it's your Long horns that are 4-6 now, and are on the brink of not making it to a bowl game in 13 yrs. Nebraska is the most consistent team in the last 50 yrs and every fans knows it.

if you havent noticed, the best programs have their off years. nebrasky took its drop this past decade when texas was up, and texas took a drop in the 90's when nebrasky was at the top of their game. even through the low points both schools maintained high stature throughout the country.

And yes Texas is currently 8-1 head to head against Nebraska. But all those wins are by a total of like 12 combined points or something ridiculous like that. Texas has made the plays to win, but they've never been dominant over Nebraska. And they certainly won't be this Saturday.

Texas is going to get smoked by Alabama. nebraska gave them 35 yards in penalties on the final drive, otherwise Texas is headed home with their first loss.

Here's why the past does matter: Texas came this far because they were motivated after last year. Nebraska won 3 national championships in 4 years after losing to FSU in a similar manner as they did to Texas tonight.

Look out next year. That is, if our offense can grade higher than a 20 on an IQ test.
