Stage volume! The partition keeps the drummer's volume only as high as the other musicians or singers on stage want it to be in their monitors, and only as high as the sound engineer wants it to be in the main speakers for the audience. Otherwise, each musician keeps fighting to hear their own instrument over everyone else, and the band become too loud. Also, the partitions are more common in smaller venues where the drums could overpower the room. Good question!
I love Gregg playing that Strat & out from behind the keyboards. Love the new WP arrangement & having him play rhythm while Scott Sharrard breathes new life into this old warhorse. Gregg is SO shy, but the chick interviewer doesn't make it easy for him to be at ease. I'd love to see Gregg stick w/this band & would love to see him dig deep to write new stuff or collaborate w/another(s) to the same end. He still has lots of music to share w/us. Stay healthy & happy, Gregg. The best is yet to come!

What's the musical advantage of the drummer being behind a plastic/glass partition? Feedback from the amps?
Gregg hasn't friggin' changed at ALL! Amazing.

I love that such a soulful voice comes from a rather closed mouth. All these years, it's Gregg's style. I LOVE IT!!
