  • You use all those pots for different oolongs? I thought that one Yixing pot is enough for "all" Oolongs. Another Yixing for all Pu-erhs, etc..and so on.

    I can't imagine how many thousands of Yixing pot one needs to buy for ever single individual tea type.

  • One Yixing tea pot per specific tea basically. The reason is the Yixing pot will absorb the flavor as he mentioned. So if you brew even different flavored oolongs, it can ruin other teas. Yixing gets to the point that after brewing one tea in it for a year or so, you can just put in hot water, pour it out, and taste the tea you've been brewing.

  • @TheForbiddenCity its more like if you have 1 favorite tea that you drink often (or more if your an entusiast) and one regulare ceramic/iron/glass teapot...
