Rudy is probably not a suchiomimus ( did I spell that right?) because suchiomimus is not bigger than a t-Rex. Therefore, it is DEFINETLY not a baryonix because it was barely bigger than a HUMAN! So it is a Spinosaur. The editors probably just mixed up and didn't put a spine on him. (seriously though "spine" is in the NAME!) That or it WAS a suchiomimus or something like that and they got the size mixed up! I over explained this didnt it? (I had this convesation early with someone...)

@ILComments A fictional one...seeing as no theropod was ever THAT big. Considering a mammoth is up to it's knee, the thing must be something like 30-35 feet tall (mammoths were 10-13 feet at the shoulder for males)...the largest known theropod Dinosaurs would have stood between 18 and 20 feet tall (T-Rex was about 13 feet at the hips, 16-18 feet at the highest point). I wish we'd find one that big!

Rudy is a large albino Baryonyx, which is what i read when looking up info on this film. It's extremely over-sized considering it wasn't as large as a T-Rex in real life maybe 28 ft long compared to a 45 ft long T-Rex but obviously that's why it's a cartoon it doesn't need to be accurate.

It is a relative of Spinosaurus though, Hope that helps.

@xXxMiiCkEyxXx I heard in a bonus DVD when I got this movie, I heard one of the movie makers say that he is a Baryoynx. His large size may be due to the Dinosaur World having more oxygen that the world above. Not certain, but it is a high possiblity cause in the real world, most dinosaurs of the Jurassic era were quite big. The amount of oxygen in the air can help with an animals size, as I heard in a documentary once.

@abbyNalex Well, actually, many of the known Spinosaurids had no sails on their backs and at best if any a short ridge over the back; eg Suchomimus, Irritator, Baryonyx. However, if you just mean Spinosaurus itself, then yes, you are very much correct - they whole point is they are the biggest, baddest and the ones with the largest spines (2 metres average)
