Besides the fact that this thing looks like an oversized Happy-Meal toy - I can tell you right now that the Edge Evolution is a far superior programmer as-far-as tuning, features, looks, power, etc., etc., etc.
The Edge Evolution is a great little unit. A great little unit that costs about $100 more than the Hypertech Max Energy, which is also a great little unit.
The Edge Evolution tuner may, in some cases, bring you more power, but there is also more risk of damage to your vehicle. The Hypertech Max Energy Programmer is totally more timid, there's no denying that. But it's less expensive, easier to use, and completely safe. They're both good units.
Actually, where the Edge Evolution stays connected in your vehicle and provides a digital gauge display of vital engine parameters, I would say you get the power you want with LESS risk since you can monitor your engine. Doesn't the Evolution also have alerts you can set for things like speed, rpm and engine temp? - or is that just on their Juice module with Attitude monitor?
Yes, Edge does offer various alert systems and things of that nature. But that goes back to more power. When you are pushing the limits of what the truck is designed for you really need to keep tabs on how it is performing. I'm not saying any one unit is safer than any other, they all have their risks.
Yeah, it's not the cheapest truck accessory, but well worth the money. And safe, too! Hypertech has been around for a long time and they've hit the bullseye with another programmer. Enjoy!
i have a afe CAI and mbrp exhaust is that ok with this programmer ???
some people say it will run lean

Yes, it will adjust your air/fuel ratio. Unleashing more power that the factory tune was holding back.
