  • This is great!! What is Edward like as a trainer??

  • Edward seems like a great clinitian. You are so lucky you got to ride with him! He is definitely someone I really look up to.

Yes, NAJYRC is going to be in Colorado for the next two years. Lol, it's a pain for us West Coast riders!

  • woops sry the age coment i ment to reply on littlefoster1 i thought i did but i guess not!

  • Great job how did you do at YR's? =]

  • thanks! young riders are going very well! we will be trying to qualify for the nayrc team next year but for now were trying to perfect the movements and tests.

  • omg thats awsome Im gona try next year for Jr's. right now where working on the changes he's always like a half stride late behind but there starting to get better! Do you know if its going to be in Colorado next year again?

  • May I ask when your horse was ready for the FEI junior work?

  • How old is Rossignol?

  • 9 at the time, he just turned 10.

  • May I ask how old are you, my trainer said that I have a very good talent in dressage and I will make it to young rider and I am only twelve right now. My parents cannot aford one of those Warmbloods yet, but they said when I;m around 14 I will have one. Beautiful canter by the way!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

  • Young Riders start at 16

  • You cant even do Juinors untill your 14 as of January 1st and YR's till your 16 as of January 1st. It takes alot of work to get there you really have to know your horse well to do this. I will be old enough to try and qualify next year and i've been working really hard with my horse for a while so he will be ready.

  • You ride beautifully & the horse looks very talented, I really like the purity of his canter.

    Edward empowers the horses

  • thank you very much!

  • I find it again and again that european riders and trainers understand how important impulsion and forward riding is. I see so many lessons/clinics/test rides in this country where the horses are just crawling the entire time. Then I see european riders and trainers and wow, so much more forward.

  • Am i allowed to ask, what he told you altogehter in the end? Did you ride just one time by Edward?

  • And I think with a lot of gymnastics this can be a good horse. It's not easy for a trainer to change so many things during a course, but I think he helped a lot. But this is just my opinion and I saw him riding last week in Verden- he's a very good rider- he knows what he is doing.

  • Yes i really like Edward's riding a lot. Haha actually judges have said my horse's canter is one of his strongest gaits he normally scores 8's or 7's on his canter work...i have a lot of beleif in my horse's movement he isn't very easy to ride, he is still quite young.

  • In addition to that the transitions seem to be a bit bumpy. In the forehand in you can also see that it isn't possible to bend the horses neck, there is just the head in. So I think Edward gave you a lot of VERY useful tips to lighten your horse up.

  • Hello!

A lot of people think that he says nothing useful. In my opinion he tries to do a bit of gymnastics because the horse looks a bit "donnish". The canter of the horse for example isn't very good. The hind legs don't really spring through. They just reach the point of the forelegs

  • Edward Gal--as usual--is making very important points.

The horse has to go forward, immediately and when asked, so there is energy.

Without energy to shape, there is no sport, no performance.

The horse and rider already know correct movements, correct seat,etc...Time to make better performance, and this is one of the best visual lessons I have seen for this concept.

  • I totally agree thank you so much I thought it was a very valuble lesson. It's nice to find other knowledgeable horse people out there who understand the basic concepts of dressage.

  • he is teaching elasticity in the gaits and making the horse reactive, he isnt saying nothing, it is just something that is an elusive concept. He also worked on forward transitions, an important concept.

  • thank you so much everyone thinks hes teaching nothing, but i learned so much and my horse was going fabulously.

  • I agree. Looks like you're doing better without his commentary haha. Beautiful horse/rider combination though, seems like you're horse is right on top of his game.

  • Beautiful horse. I love his movement.

  • Marytimes- What level are you?

  • I ride FEI junior level and fourth level.

  • aww thank you!

  • hij zegt niks over je benen!!

  • he say's nothing usefull

  • hmm.. you and you're horse are a nice combination :)

But Edward talks like he is drunk and I think he doesn't say anything usefull.

But that's my opinion, I don't like Edward' ridng at all. so unfriendly.
