To make exact same waves Map reactor to Fractal and set some values in fractal field

I spent 3 days, 5 hours each try to figure out how to make those waves. My form used to react to music but i was unable to make those waves.

Now i know how!!

All i needed to do was to set Delay max to 1 and delay direction to X Outwards.

Damn! it was so simple!! and ispent all those hours messing around with other values!

@BDGanxxxter go into fractal field, add some value to dispersion and than go to audio react, link the song and set map to fractal and delay direction to x outwards, and set delay max to 1, hope it works :D

Not sure what you mean by a preset that comes with form. I explained what I did a few comments above. I started out with the base Sphere - Layered setting, but from there I adjusted parameters and frequencies to my liking. I didn't just go up to a preset and choose one.

You just go to Audio React and set the Audio Layer to whichever layer in your timeline is the audio file you wish to use. Pretty simple and pretty awesome.

Go to the trapcode website, click on Form at the right. Then click on the link in the middle paragraph that says "View and download more hands-on training clips here." There is a tutorial there on the audio react feature.

Ok, so i understand how the Audio React works, what did you use to make the shape itself? Can you just apply the plugin to any particulator object?

In Form, there are 3 base forms. They are Box - Grid, Box - Strings, and Sphere - Layered. I just used the Sphere - Layered setting and set it to have 2 spheres. Then I set the size in X and Y to 400, and Z to 100. However, you can also use Layer maps set to affect the color, alpha, etc. of the particles in Form. It's a very powerful plugin, you just have to experiment with it.

Yep, just have to set it as a layer map for either the alpha or color I believe.

i gotta question for u... u just binded the particles to the audio keyframes, or u did use some kind of expression to make it look like that, since expresions are the way to go if u want something like that to be done fast... but if u used an expresion could u tell me what it was? please

In Trapcode Form, there's an option called Audio React. You just tell it the audio layer to react to, adjust the parameters for which frequencies to react to and how strong it reacts. And then you can also set any type of delay you want so you get that wave moving across the particles type of effect instead of them all reacting at once. The plugin really does all the work. No need for keyframes or expressions.
