If i believe the bible is the word of God - words He inspired men to write that are from Him, then I believe it's truth. That's not just a belief, it's a belief about truth. Believing in a god is human nature, when we can't comprehend how something was created we don't think rationally (as proved throughout history). However, people are entitled to their own opinions and to think for themselves instead of believing somebody else's version. A good way to shut people up is to say your's an Agnostic-Belief, for example I'm an Agnostic-Atheist because although I don't believe in a god, I can't disprove that there isn't one.

@Mweeksr6 I think you are mistaken. Here is the King James version of a verse from Leviticus, the third book in the Old Testament... "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." The New International Version of the same verse says "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable." I'm not sure where you are getting your Bible knowledge, but I'd try to find another source.

Chris, The Bible is the word of God. you have to understand that there are 3 parts to the mosaic law in which you are referring to: ceremonial, civil, and moral. jesus' death was to free us from the ceremonial and civil, which says the things about eating certain food, ect.. BUT we are still bound to the moral laws, not for salvation, but to live a holy life, which God calls every human to be: holy. Read the Bible in it entirety. Old and New Testiment. All the Scriptures work together.

With Jesus we were made free from the Old Testamentary Law. Jesus said that following rules always had to be put in the perspective of the first and second commandments and that sometimes we have to ignore the rules in order to fullfill them. This was what he accused the Pharisees of failing to do. They cared more aout holding rules than for other people.

The bible has been translated into english by many translators. None of which fully agree on what it's saying. Even so, there are many versions or it, including some that have been "dumbed down" and made simple. This aso changed the words. Not only that, but english has changed over the years since the bible was translated. "Gay" for instance does not mean happy anymore. I think this is one thing he took into consideration when he posted this video.

Believing in a god is human nature, when we can't comprehend how something was created we don't think rationally (as proved throughout history). However, people are entitled to their own opinions and to think for themselves instead of believing somebody else's version. A good way to shut people up is to say your's an Agnostic-Belief, for example I'm an Agnostic-Atheist because although I don't believe in a god, I can't disprove that there isn't one.

Being a freethinker might work for you now, but just because you don't believe in God doesn't make you free from anything. If I didn't believe in gravity, would I be able to float off the ground? Certainly not! Likewise, not believing in God doesn't make you "free" from God at all. You can choose to not believe, but there is time when non-believer's will be judged--just so you know.

@Mweeksr6 I think you are mistaken. Here is the King James version of a verse from Leviticus, the third book in the Old Testament... "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." The New International Version of the same verse says "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable." I'm not sure where you are getting your Bible knowledge, but I'd try to find another source.

Chris, The Bible is the word of God. you have to understand that there are 3 parts to the mosaic law in which you are referring to: ceremonial, civil, and moral. jesus' death was to free us from the ceremonial and civil, which says the things about eating certain food, ect.. BUT we are still bound to the moral laws, not for salvation, but to live a holy life, which God calls every human to be: holy. Read the Bible in it entirety. Old and New Testiment. All the Scriptures work together.

With Jesus we were made free from the Old Testamentary Law. Jesus said that following rules always had to be put in the perspective of the first and second commandments and that sometimes we have to ignore the rules in order to fullfill them. This was what he accused the Pharisees of failing to do. They cared more aout holding rules than for other people.

The bible has been translated into english by many translators. None of which fully agree on what it's saying. Even so, there are many versions or it, including some that have been "dumbed down" and made simple. This aso changed the words. Not only that, but english has changed over the years since the bible was translated. "Gay" for instance does not mean happy anymore. I think this is one thing he took into consideration when he posted this video.
