@CORYSPHOTOS The car did not run the red light, The fire truck did, They LIED saying they where going to a 5 alarms fire in the Land-park area, from downtown. The passenger was my daughter in law, A collage student and very bright, She was only 20 yrs. old. The Sac.Fire Dept. was sued by my son and they lost, It was proven in court the FIRE TRUCK was at fault....

first of all this is my close friend that died. second u have no idea what u are talking about.the stupid ass sacramento fire trucks always fucking go to calls without their sirens and light on. the only time they ever put them on is if their is traffic in front of them. it was not the girls fault. i would know i was on the phone with the passenger whenit all happened and they didnt even know it was there til it was speeeding at them and they couldnt move quick enough.

@ladiedominantful 1st off, know that I am truly sorry for the loss of your friend and for the driver as well. As a member of the Sacramento Fire Dept (now retired) I can tell you that all SFD personnel go through mandatory, intensive, annual driver training and that driving code 3 includes the use of warning lights and sirens. SFD responds to over 60,000 calls for service each year and it is the nature of the call that determines the response.

@ladiedominantful Also know that as a result of this incident one of the occupants became an organ donor saving a number of lives in the process. In addition, after meeting with the crews, a video was shot and will soon be available for training and CE's. !st Responder Donor Awareness will save additional lives as a result of this incident. Yes this was tragic and they did not die in vain. Many lives will be saved as a result

I know, this kind of shit really pisses me off.

It's like people think they're more important than a firetruck going to a call, & the truck should get out of their way.

There needs to be a new law - after the 2nd or 3rd time max that you fail to give way, your vehicle's impounded & sold at auction with the money going to fire & EMS.

and all this time i thought firemen were supposed to save lives. apparently the fireman driving the truck was in such a hurry he thought his truck with the flashing red lights makes him invisible. so he decides to murder someone on the way to the scene of whatever hes going to. ill bet his ass is out of a job. and firefighting jobs are scarce

Not to wish harm any of our great Fire Fighters, EMS, Police or innocent civilian, but when you need the fire department or any other emergency personel, I hope they get "tied" up on the way to you.
