@chronic2point0 Actually ya could. I got a 4.2 V6 F150 and I found a super charger for it, cost $5k though. And I can have the motor stroked if I wanted. For now Im just doin CAI and I got a chip too, also gunna piggy back another chip and get a TB spacer. I got a Super 44 Series Flowmaster too.

@subykid13 No it couldn't. He's running a Kenne Bell. Valve overlap on a forced induction setup = a no no. Why have the valves open any longer than you need to? The air is being forced in.

i have a Mach 1 with a fully built 4.6 from Al pappito bored 20 over and a d1 procharger pushing 18lbs of boost intercooler ect ect and my blowoff valve stayes open till i goto into boost.. it makes 650hp.. how comes ur dosent stay open?

It does stay open but I had it recirculate back to before the blower so you can't hear it as much

this has the same engine as a non s/c cobra so why not if your gonna mod'd out the roof anyways probably cheaper in the end to buy a GT for around 8,000 then a cobra for 15,000

that's where you're wrong my friend, the 4.6L on the cobra is a 32 valve engine, alot better then the 4.6 GT engine. dont get me wrong, i love my 05 GT, but i would've chosen the cobra if i could afford it

Dude don't argue with me over something as silly as forged heads & 32 values at the end of the day this car would destory a 03-04 Cobra, with the $8,000-$10,000 dollars you save buying a GT you can customize it how you please.

How many valves does a 1.5 Honda CRX have? They're still quick as hell when fixed up & have the right parts added to them. Sure 32 Valves is nice to have but its not gonna matter when you face off against another 281 with 700hp/800tq.

Just like the 98-02 Trans AM has 16 valves but it will hang right with a 03 Cobra. Valves help but they don't help that much and they're not worth paying an extra $10,000 for when you're planing on tubing something out.

actually the compression is still the same as stock or around the same.. what the longer stroke does it produce more C.I. in the motor because of the longer up and down motion of the piston. It went from a 281 to a 302.

LS1s are nice but I notice they're very prone to losing oil pressure with high miles and I've seen more than one rod bearing spin as the result of a few weekends worth of hot-lapping.

I've never seen that problem out of a Mustang, and I certainly haven't seen it out of my Cobra which has seen plenty of nitrous, has more than just a few miles on the clock and I have owned for 3 years.

That's weird, my hood is red with black accents. It is the Cervini's snorkel style. I am sure it helps cool the engine somewhat. Anyway, new short block just hit 600 miles. Can't wait to see what numbers it puts down.
