  • You capture that magical Anthony Phillips sound so perfectly. Thanks for yet another beautiful arrangement.

  • Hi Hyperboreal. I enjoyed this a lot, interesting piece. Great timing and plectrum control you've got going there. I imagine that a piece like this is quite difficult to memorise, I know I would find it difficult.

    Bravo

    Best wishes

  • @DenianArcoleo

I appreciate your comment very much Denian! My memory is not as good as it was but it's not so hard as, let's say, any Bach piece. Thanks a lot for watching.

  • Bravo! Ce morceau est très beau et tu le joues magnifiquement bien... Quel talent!

  • Alex, i know this is Anthony Phillip' tune, but I think you are really developing your own unique signature; i really think in a bllnd-folded sound test i would detect you straight away...and I like your style :)

  • @amccann7

That's very nice Amy, thanks for keep listening to my videos!

  • another Ant masterpiece Alex.. wonderful !!

  • @centralscrutinizer9

    Thanks mate.

  • You're going to have that entire 2-disk set covered soon! This captures nicely that wistful autumnal quality that so much of Ant's solo music has. Great job! I always like to go over and listen to the original after hearing you then come back and listen to you again. Remarkable re-creation.

  • @troubleclef

Thanks so very much Tony, yeah everytime I hear this album there is some tune that strikes me in order to attempt to play it. And it's always quite fun to decipher all these very thoughtful compositions.

  • @Neelan22

    Gracias compañero. Saludos.

  • Great job. I imagine that's even trickier on classical than steel-strung, by the look of it.

    Another choice selection.

    Thanks for posting !

  • @jimguitarfan

Thanks Jim, yeah, I didn't tried playing it on steel strings (don't have any at hand at the moment). I guess some passages work better on steel than nylon strings.

  • One of my favorites off the album :D Awesome! Thank you!

  • Wow this piece is great. I love the rhythm to it. It flows beautifully

  • @pinkfloydrule27

Check out the original... And buy the album ("Field Day")! ;)

  • Really enjoyed it Alex, great playing!

  • @thrip

    Thanks a lot Tim.

  • @musique2a

    Merci beaucoup.

  • I will be late at work this morning because i watch your video again and again...

I will say to my boss it's because of Hyperboreal.

    What ???

  • @zardozfrance

    hahaha, thanks Zardoz!

  • Excelente como siempre!!

  • @ccastboc

    Muchas gracias.

  • Wonderful tune really well played.

Wish I knew how to hold a pick!

  • @wfbrown1234

A great tune indeed. But it seems you do know how to hold a pick ;)

  • Very inspiring...

  • ;-)

  • Wonderful... as usual :=)

  • @miaris

    Thank you Mia!

  • What a cool piece this is! Full of joy. I liked the palm mute section, nice contrast.

You are an amazing guitarist Alex! :)

    Amy

  • @amccann7

Thanks so much Amy. That part is in fact taken from an 80's song by Ant entitled "Traces" (hence the title).

Very glad you liked it, best wishes.

  • Sweet!

  • @kenwaditty

    Thank you kenwaditty.
