Thanks for posting, too bad the attitude years ago was to tear things down and throw away. Down by the St. Louis Gateway Arch and old Cathedral, no signs of how there were buildings down to the river, Now most of northern downtown is like a ghost town, in decay. So many great examples of architecture overlooked and forgotten.
Much like the buildings of the Chicago Centennial, the buildings of the 1904 World's Fair were not built to last. They were temporary structures by design.
Example; Those big buildings, with all the impressive stone work and columns, were really just wood, and lattice, covered in molded plaster, and painted to look like stone.
yes to time travel to this the St louis worlds fair of 1904 got to get there and then once i ma here well things would turn out very differently you will see!
They should have built Titanic in 1904 then it would never ahve hit that stupip iceberg they could ave sailed up the missouri to St Louis for the fair hmmm:! they could have made it 18 acres big like that giganitic building at the fair
Hmmm interesting. I like the photos and music, but maybe add some video to the next episode in you "60 Seconds" series. Also, your videosare only 59 seconds, but good job!!
Grandpa, They'll never tear in down will they? Well...they better not.

I was the little kid in this video; Scott Joplin was there and everything!! But I wasn't allowed to listen to that kind of 'devil' music.

Great video! And you have to love Maple Leaf Rag, even if it is in midi format.
